Amazing job! Now I get to listen to Tim Staffell in amazing quality. He's no Freddie, but he's a great singer in his own right! We can only imagine where these boys would be if Smile didn't break up/evolve into Queen

Agreed, Tim is truly awesome! I suggest taking a listen to his solo stuff, it's well worth the listening :)

Morgan nova solis really shows tim staffel’s bass playing, singing, and song writing. I really think he makes these recordings, im not an especially big queen fan, once was but grew tired I suppose. Im a major music fan and love the sort of rock renaissance, progressive hippie era. Heavy rock and psychedelic and all that. But staffel is an especially romanticist songwriter, very thoughtful and emotional, picturesque. Also love is vibrato, his high pitched range, it sounds magnificent. I revisit these for him mainly. Thank you for this mix, you maintained a lot of the dynamics and such but improved them, I appreciate it.

The last song is a live recording from the audience; I included it because there was not a studio recording of it (older copies sound MUCH more horrible)

I thought brian and Tim wrote polar bear, and that it was only blags writer that was forgotten, along with who played piano on a few of the tracks
@ohwhattt4 ай бұрын
I just downloaded the mp3 files and I just can say its fking amazing and brilliant. so I have a request, can you do the same thing for Queen's version of 'Polar Bear'? that song is my fav from the album and I prefer Queen's version. the others' sound quality isnt that great but the drums kind of sound clear and clean so you could mix it up with Smile's version only leaving Freddie's vocals and the drums. I think you could work this out so well those skills you've got. Cheers!

Is the video at the end Smile? Wondering because Bri looks like he did in the early 1970s.(?)
