Could you please talk about CXL for refractive intervention? I think this technique has a huge potential in the next future!

gio basta I have only heard limited information about corneal collagen crosslinking as a refractive treatment. It sounds like it may be a narrow use as it only flattens the cornea a little bit. It may only be useful for very small nearsighted prescriptions. The best option that I think it will offer will be to treat patients who would not qualify for PRK but could have PRK with crosslinking safely. Thanks for the question!

I have a eye shaped light in my line of sight which is blurring my vision. I've always had perfect vision and this has never happened before. I'm a 37 year old male. It has been like this for 7 days now, any idea what could be causing this? I also feel a little tension around my eye, but that's it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what could be in your line of sight causing problems, but since it's been there for seven days, would definitely recommend getting it checked out. When our patients are complaining of problems with their central vision, we worry that it could be a problem with the retina in the back of the eye. Hope everything is OK.

The best way that I can explain what I see is...have you ever looked into a light and then look away and the shape of the light stays in your line of sight for a couple of minutes? Well...that's what it looks like, but it's been there for 6 or 7 days.
