I make karaoke videos for my own use, the way I prefer them, which is to have the lyrics presented in complete blocks of verse, chorus, and bridge, making sure they are accurate in terms of in & out points of the original recording artist, not dictating the exact phrasing but instead leaving the vocal interpretation up to the singer. They assume a fairly thorough familiarity with the song.
And even though it's the music and lyrics that are of primary importance for karaoke videos, I do try to use minimal imagery that complements the theme and mood and adds a modicum of visual aesthetics.
I will usually post a song in the same key as the original artist's recording, but will sometimes post in an alternate key that suits my own range. So if I the key register is not noted in the title, you can assume it is in the same key as that of the original recording artist.
Although I make these videos entirely for my own personal use, it would be a shame not to make them public in case others might appreciate my approach and also share the love for some of my favorite vocal artists and the wonderful music they create.

@@markojovanovic9897 There is no easy answer to that question. Basically, the root note of the first or last chord under the melody indicates the key. But there are many exceptions.

Dear Rob, this is anything BUT a karaoke; you see, a karaoke has the lyrics synched to the accompaniment (the playback or backing track) and here the lyrics are there in blocks, not synched. A person who already knows the song well obviously doesn't need the synched lyrics, but you have written "Karaoke" very clearly so the search engine finds it and shows it to an interested party, but oh surprise it's not a karaoke. I'd like to think that this happened because you don't know well about this and not because you want to cheat and get views, ok? Be careful because this may affect your reputation too. Greetings

Anything BUT? It's not even close? What do you suggest my videos be called? Or maybe you think I shouldn't post them at all because they don't meet the internationally approved definition of "karaoke"? I explain in all my descriptions why I choose to make my videos the way I do. And that basically I make them for myself and decide to share them on KZbin for free. I make no money from them and don't really need to post them at all. So I'll leave it to you to worry about my reputation.

@@RobLanderos No need to take it so hard. It's simple, just don't write "karaoke" because they are not karaoke versions. When people search, they enter whether they want a karaoke version or not, so the search engine looks up the titles with the word "karaoke" on them. Maybe a good title could be sing along or playback withlyrics or something like that. It's a waste of time when you search and so many people write "karaoke" on videos that are simply not karaoke. If you check my channel, you'll see some karaoke versions of songs I have posted, all of them have the lyrics synched so even beginners can follow. That's all there is to it.
