Eu acho que essas criaturas são a representação das crianças que sofriam experimentos na Playtime.Elas provavelmente sofriam tanto com os experimentos, assim não conseguiam dormir e agoniadas sem poder descansar, então os cientistas usavam o Catnap para as crianças terem momentos de paz e também realizar as experiências de forma indolor, por isso elas amavam tanto o Catnap e tratavam o gás como uma droga viciante.
