The joke is instead of bringing a pizza to the party for everyone to eat the person brought a monkey instead and all the guests start tearing it apart and eating it like a pizza.

Honestly I winced at the part where Pim climb through the chimney because it reminds me of a few stories where someone tried to break into a building by climbing down only to get stuck and nobody notice them in there until they smell something horrendous coming from the fireplace.
