How did you take off the zoom cap? When you put it back it took a lot of force, I can't imagine how to take it off.

I did everything to remove the head . Failed.

As u explained tried to insert plastic cards from both sides. Simply no clearance to enter.so couldn't remove the head

can i just buy any 2600mah 3.7v battery to replace? i have one already with wire but a clip.

it doesn't need to be 2600mah as long as it is 3.7v rated 18650 size battery will do. 2600mah capacity will make it last longer. I tested the original battery inside the flashlight using Litokala and it is only 700mah.
