Welcome back to Sydney! So happy that you decided to come back for another visit 😊Hope you have an enjoyable stay (and not get sick this time!)😊😊 Tip: definitely check out our beaches, but I'd say maybe try some other beaches aside from Bondi. Whilst iconic, it can get really crowded, especially on weekends.

Omg you’re back in Sydney! If you wanna try one of (if not THE) best lamingtons here (pannacotta infused flavour) - look up the patisserie “Flour & Stone” on Riley Street not very far from where you’re staying!

Have a great little trip Shinichi. it's actually been almost 21 years since I last visited Australia. I went in 2003. I'm overdue for a re-visit. I'm sure it's changed a lot. I was there for 2 weeks in both Melbourne and Sydney.
@lmaree2008868 ай бұрын
EX Sydneysider here! Sydney has changed A LOT since the early 00's! It's more crowded now but but there's many more modern buildings that have been built and the light rail tram system that's like Melbourne's ( we used to have it years ago) in the CBD and the even newer Sydney Metro train system that has no human drivers are big updates! Just recently Central station had a massive upgrade and the full Metro trains system and new stations and current station merges won't be finished for nearly a decade. That's being built out west to meet up with the new airport being built 😁

Shinichi….so cool you’re in Sydney…….australia is on my list…..post retirement…….i plan to take the train to go from east coast to west……🙂…….tell me the place in Chinatown you get your roast pork bun!

So happy you have made it back to Sydney, I recommend Milliore Korean in the Capitol Building (near the Capitol Theatre), I try to have lunch there whenever I am in Sydney. If you can get a table the Museum of Contemporary Art cafe has great views (often very crowded though). Also an interesting ferry trip is to Cockatoo Island. Take some snacks in case the cafe there is closed.

I used to work right around the corner from that hotel! Make sure you go to the beach while you’re there, some of the best and most easily accessible suburban ones in the world. And try a Halal Snack Pack!

Shinichi, hope you had a nice time in Sydney!! Although the flight is relatively long (Between 9.5 and 10 hours), there is only a 2 hour time zone difference. Where I'm from (california, USA) there is a 16 hour time difference between Japan and California. 17 hour difference in the summer months (calif has DST Daylight savings time) That makes a huge impact on jet lag. Anyways, take care!!!

Welcome to Sydney Shinichi! Can't wait to see where you go exploring my old home town 😁 Because you're here in March the weather won't be as hot as it was a week or two ago. It looks like Sydney will be having some nice temperatures most days for at least two weeks. Mid 20-30c days not 40c+ days! I left Sydney in 2019 and am now in regional VIC but recently I have been planning my first multi city trip in years this Winter for six weeks going back up to Sydney to see family and friends, then up to Brisbane then Gold Coast to see my oldest best friend and to meet her youngest daughter as I'm her 'Auntie', back to Sydney then back to Melbourne then its a three hour train ride home. Oh my! I just looked that hotel in Chippendale on Booking. That shoebox room is $250 per night? There's actual studio & 1 bedroom apartments more situated in the CBD area for that price! I've booked a studio with a full kitchen near Hyde Park right near Museum station for $215 per night with a park view. I hope you got a discount code or got a cheaper rate for multiple days! 😮

Sydney is pretty but expensive. I have friends who live ther or just outside. You should come to Queensland 😊
@lmaree2008868 ай бұрын
I'm originally from Sydney now living in regional VIC. It was much cheaper in Sydney even in the suburbs than where I am now and things are harder to buy online as even my post office whines when I get large deliveries they call for me to pick up parcels asap cause 'they have no room'. Well their drivers should actually deliver to my house and not refuse cause I'm slightly rural! I only left in late 2019 and the cost was already high here when I got here 😢

I've seen you check into better hotels than this, in Japan... And "28 Hotel", what a boring name for a hotel! You'd better save to visit London, where the real Regent street and Hyde Park are!
