16:25 I think I suggested this before in their discord for smite 1, allowing Thanatos 2 to be usable while in the air in ultimate. Otherwise using 2 before ultimate waste 2 second of its buff time in the ULT startup.

Exited about the pregame passives, sounds like watered down rune system from league of legends. Runes are one of the best systems In league extra character customization and fun theory crafting with what can be useful on your character

Granted I don’t think that was ever the intent for her role but you can kinda make her an ADC, but with the improvements of her ult especially you probably just want to go normal ability damage build, or maybe a bit tankier with high cooldown reduction to maximize her ult and the chance she gets to use it

Great video as usual. All the changes seem positive. I LOVE that they are making adjustments to CC and DR, much needed. I'm still not high on combat blink but hey that is what testing is for. My issue with it is from experience with it in Smite 1, it was bad for the game then and I expect that will be the same here. Giving all gods an instant escape from a fight just feels bad IMO. Beads can save you but it's not a garuntee if not used right. Combat blinking through a wall is going to save you more often. As the aggressor in a fight that is going to feel horrible. Maybe I'll change my mind, glad it's being tested for those asking for it.

I love this patch on paper. We will see how it plays but I think the conquest map still needs work. The lanes felt small and awkward in the first 2 tests and the jungle just kind of felt meh. It needs more bosses like a pyromancer or scorpion and mid lane needs some real camps to fight over. I also think the map needs to be a little bit bigger.

I don't think they've hit the mark yet with the cc changes, honestly i would keep the DR as it was (expect for the duration) and STILL reduce the overall cc duration of abilities. I think most of us are just too used to smite 1 where pretty much all characters have good CCs, but lets see, this might be enough

I think the genuinely biggest thing smite can do to save the game is remake the skins. Now, I understand the amount of effort I'm suggesting but I don't think they should try and bring them with release. With in-game changed being easier to make now, they have more time. Therefore, there should never be a content drought until they get every base god in from smite, but that statement extends to skins as well

I assume it's like SMITE 1 combat blink so you can't use it while stunned, etc. so it's not a direct counter to CC, you gotta use it pre-emptively to avoid the CC if anything.

Anybody else feel like smite 1 servers get worse everyday constant lagging and dc’s someone need to call hirez out on their atrocious servers ther day i had an assault match where my entire team dc’d and couldnt reconnect and i had to just wait for the other team to destroy all my towers and win and countless other games like this.

The game was never at risk of dying. It's like looking at the egg of a chicken and deciding the chick won't live based on the color of the egg. Fear mongering is the only thing that can kill smite 2 at this point in time. Once they exit testing and go into 1.0 release then it's HiRez who can kill the game. But within this past year they've been consistently showing that they are listening to our feedback about this game and if they continue doing that, I think the only way smite 2 dies is if weaken keeps uploading videos titled "THIS IS WHY SMITE 2 IS COOKED FOREVER" or something.

@@griffann I think it feels and looks great. Saying that Ue5 is a downgrade is an unproveable statement and has nothing to do with why you don't like the alpha. The reason you dont like how it looks and feels is because hirez hasnt used Ue5 before, theyre getting used to it. If you compare alpha footage of smite 1 to current smite 1, youd think theyre different games. Theres no reason to think that the smite 2 alpha we're looking at right now will look anything similar to how it will look and feel in even 1 year.

@@Nonco-1 also stop defending it with the it’s just an alpha or there is time. The time frame they have is until August 27th. There is no hiding behind an open 24/7 alpha. Once the servers are up 24/7 that’s it. Thats it. If it performs poorly when it goes 24/7, which it will, it will never come back. Not a dedicated enough player base, not a well known enough dev company, not big enough content creators to make it succeed and bring it back if it fails. We live in a world where if it’s a miss right away there’s no second chances. I’m a huge smite player myself, played at the highest level in ranked and I’d love to see it succeed but it’s not going to. It’s not fun, it shouldn’t even be announced yet, and the franchise will be crippled and gone by early 2025.

I really wish Smite players would stop trying to cling onto old systems so much. Smite needs new players, very clearly the game is not exactly getting big and something needs to change. Example being the relics. Yeah it sucks, but realistically the relic system is not healthy, as it promotes contempt with devs and designing sub-par god kits because X relic can help with this X ability.
