I think the NA EU rivalry was so fun in smite one esports Especially for worlds gave me something to root for if my favorite team got knocked out

Smite 2 has 3k daily players. Smite 1 has 6k… dead game man. More people are playing aim labs Than smite 2. They need to market their game cause they don’t have a player base to watch the esports. And before anyone calls me a hater I’ve got 7k hours on smite. They need to market their game better

It’s Alpha and Smite 2 has a $30 entry point. No point in marketing more until it is closer to the 1.0 release and they have more content to keep new players playing the game

I used to think that marketing was the issue, but after seeing deadlock's success I understood that it wasn't. The most important thing is having a good game. Word of mouth will do the rest. Deadlock was literally under nda, and you had to find someone to get an invite, and it got to 20k players, before valve had said *any* word publicly. Why was it this successful? It's simple. The game is actually good. Smite 2 is just a bad game, there's no way around it. When it first released, everyone was talking about it, and it got to first place on steam for games that were downloaded (or bought, or something like that). Popular twitch streamers were playing it. Offline TV and others. What happened after? Dead. Everyone dropped it because it was garbage. All eyes were on it. Marketing was there. But you can't get players if the game is bad. I also have a lot of playtime in smite. I've been playing since season 1, and reached diamond in conquest many times. So I'm also not just trying to shit on the game. I've been a fan since day 1.
