Shame it still fucks up a bit though. Poseidon for example, shouldn't even know that a Kraken exists as the Kraken is a Norse myth, not a Greek one. It would make more sense to summon a cavalry of horses since, according to Greek myth, he created the bloody things. Another is Odin's attempt at screwing destiny. In his SMITE lore, he's trying not to die from Ragnarok yet in Norse Mythology as a whole, the 'You Cannot Fight Fate' theme is everywhere. Odin even accepts that he is going to die and knows what is to come. One last thing is Aphrodite, she is NEVER sorry for anything. Her lore states that she is sorry for the wars that happened over her beauty but in truth, she'd happily have those wars if it meant she kept her self esteem. But these are just a few, small mistakes and everything else is quite informative but it is these small mistakes that make me cringe as I am quite the Mythology Addict. So these small mistakes stand out more than they should.

mmm you know you`re right but sometimes you create a game, you can create a story or change some details of the story...i get your point though...maybe one day when i finish my studies the university of digital animation i will create a game with the myths of the norse or greeks...but i think in this game "too human" to be remake and well playable to any gamer

The original Harryhausen movie, Clash of the Titans (1981) focused on the Greek Mythological of Perseus, who fought a creature named Ceto (humanoid octopus creature/goddess), which was changed to a four armed humanoid monster incorrectly Known as a Kraken in the movie. Harryhausen choose the name Kraken because by that time it was a famed creature spawning many legends and tales and acted as an inspiration of H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu. Naturally the "popular" 2010 had to be more "accurate" and adventurous so they changed the creature back to the monstrous colossal demon octopus-thing but kept the name Kraken further continuing the popular confusion.

IDK why people compare this to LoL negatively. Smite developers draw a lot of inspiration from LoL. Guess what. Minecraft. MC drew inspiration from dwarf fortress. Rust draws inspiration from Day Z and MC. Smite drew it from LoL, LoL's developers were the developers of DotA (some of, at least), and DotA was originally an RTS game, Warcraft 3... Complaining gets you nowhere. All these games have come from one thing at some point in the past... Each game is it's own, and as such, should be treated as if not seen before (Cept CoD games... copy after copy there...).

what i meant was Neith's ult allows the user to lock on to any enemy and attack from anywhere on the field. while Athena can use hers to lock onto any ally from anywhere on the field and send herself to help. what you said is also an opposite but what the ults actually are, are still opposite.

Melee attacks scale with physical power. A tank whose abilities scale with physical power could have both powerful basic attacks and ability attacks in addition to their great defenses. If they have abilities that scale with magic they have to choose either powerful basic attacks or abilities, which means that they will actually have to tank instead of dealing all the damage themselves.

Her ult is somewhat like Shen's from LoL, but it doesn't shield the ally your teleporting to, and it does an AoE effect... very different

To be fair, all of her abilities are strikingly similar to Pantheon's. Even the passive is the same. Then she has a gap close (Pantheon's Aegis) a cone damage move (Panth's Heartseeker) and an ultimate in which she channels, then descends from the sky to do an AoE bit of damage. The only unique one is the shield wall.

Preemptive Strike gives her so much survivability, and with some farseeing party, you almost ever hit your ult properly. The taunt is capital with other cc measures and can dull even some annoying skills like Searing Flesh from Ares or Taolu Assalut from Guan Yu. She's awesome!
