I think the worst thing about playing as solo-queue support, whether Guardian or Warrior, is when your team doesn't push up with you and engage on the enemy that you've CC'd. Even if you VGS attack, they just stand back and watch the enemy team converge on you. I mean, isn't just common sense to push up with the front liner and attack the target they've locked down, or is that just me thinking like a noob?

Word, I'm one of those that go all in with the support or warrior, i only play fafnir for the most part as support as well because you can 1v1 a lot of people if your team is stupid and dont follow you and if shit gets messy you can escape easily

Ares is one of the best guardians. He gives 30%CCR and 61procs to him teammates in team fights. He peels squishes just by being there because you can go pen boots and all aura defense items and have a ton of health and solo squishes. If you fall behind yes top 3 worst guardians but his ult procs and damage potential make him unstoppable. Especially in making phase. No one is fighting into an Ares with a chain in him unless they have 3 levels on him. His clear is bad but he is a snowball guardian if he gets ahead he will control an entire game. Early game with blink you can rotate from lane to lane and blink ult for basically Insta kills to force objectives. If you have teammates with AOE ults he has the best ult in the game. Get 3 pairs of beads for 1 ult. Forces people into buying magis which controls their build and build path. Plus it will still chunk them.

It nets you a solid 30 power per stack and if you build stuff like void stone that grants you defense and power it’s pretty good. You won’t be god teir powerful, but you will be a bruiser

Matr1x_Morpheus then you don't play against good artios lol, granted I'm a solo main not support so when I play her it's there, but CD boots, breastplate, stone of binding, and voidstone are core on her in my builds, last 2 items are situational but ideally you should finish your cooldown and get more hp. I have a feeling the new witchblade is going to be really strong on her with this build, if you are going against support artios it might be a different story though

Ares is a great guardian mattering on the build it's wonderful because he can rather deal damage and feed himself if his team is shit or he can go aura build and defend well helping with kills, if you think he's a bad guardian it's because how you play him
