To be fair pers ULT is still INSANE. Locking an enemy god in place for 5 whole seconds is so good. sure they nerfed getting the whole team tethered but everyone knows the good Persephones will ult a god not a wall

@@harriopoku1621 the way she transforms is much different than those 2, she literally takes the entire build of an enemy and their kit, she literally changes characters mid match, compared to fafnir who just switches his abilities (basically stance switching)

I never thought of Cthulhu ult as stance switching. He transformers into this gigantic creature for a period of time. I could argue that an ult like Vamana is a bit similar to that.

Vamana can only use basic attacks in his ult, Cthulhu has 3 different abilities he can use in his ult, which means it's a stance switch like Fafnir

@@Ivaylodr5 I think stance switching as a term should only be used for abilities that do nothing but provide other normal abilities to the character. Merlin, ullr, hel for example. Just my opinion, I don’t think of Faf or Cthulhu as stance switchers.

Yea I agree, I don’t see how fafnir or Cthulhu can be considered stance switching. They’re much more like a transformation. Stance switchers usually have a strong base kit cuz they trade an Ult

@@kobybarragy1520 Realistically, they are stance switchers. They're having most of if not their whole kit altered in some fashion. Sure it's not on the flip of a dime but it replaces everything they do, so even if only conditionally, they're stance switchers. Cthulu, Fafnir and Cu Chulainn would be in this bunch.

i wouldn't consider that stance switching, because then so are fafnir, shiva. cu chu, raijin, etc... these are transformations, like you said, not stances.

I feel like vamana ult has to be the best he can litterally run over everyone and be unkillable. If you have frostbound and/or hastened no on can run away. Actually still behind the morrigan but 2nd.

I think Olorun ult is legitimately the best ult in the game and I don't thick anything else comes close. The sheer amount of utility you get from pressing 4 is insane. The only one that comes close is the Morrigen. I'd also argue Scylla and Poseidon ult don't belong on this list. I think some better contenders are Athena, Apollo, or Eset.

Imagine having a worse ult than Scylla, that actually pushes back the enemy into a safer spot unless you can get behind them which is super risky in the majority of situations. Top that all off with a longer wind-up and you have possibly the worst ult in the game.

think they need to go overboard on some of the 1s that just transform and lose an ult, liked way they did Cuchulainn's ult in berserker and normal form, need to take page from his book...just not mana bar charge by attacking thing cuz that sucks. To be only char has to constantly farm his berserker form and watch his mana output at same time, but like his moves and how he plays and don't see it making him op have normal mana bar like everybody else.

I would argue Morrigan ult is a stance change gaining a new set of stats and new abilities or its at the very least a transformation which I would file cthulhu and fafnir under rather than a stance change

I'm surprised ESET didn't make into the list... Maybe it's because it kinda TERA but more simple? I remember a game we all fight under that stupid ult thinking it would do that much DMG... It charged all the way up, saved their team and finish all of us in a quadra kill with a really good amount of dmg

From my point of view, I think you valued some of ultimates that do damage above all, there are gods like Athena, Olorun, Persephone, Hun Batz, Fafnir, Cthulhu, Yemoja and Thor with ultimates more powerfull than baba yaga, poseidon or scylla but at least we agree with the top 1 xd

as someone who used to hit basically every Rama shot when I was exclusively playing adcs only for a year, I'd say hitting a Rama ult and the sheer amount of time you can stay in the air to buy time for your team to get to you makes it an incredible ult - the range is also insane, not to mention the amount of times I've stolen GF or FG with it it's also the most satisfying ult to use ever made another ult is Nu Wa ult lategame - can completely change a fight I also really rate Ymir ult towards the end of a teamfight when most relics are down

Putting hun batz only as an honorable mention is bullshit. Especially when putting Da Ji and vamanas new crappy reworked ult on this list, like it’s dumb. Hun Batz ult single handedly wins team fights. Vamana gets bursted down easier than ever with antiheal STILL affecting it, literally the only benefit is that it no longer triggers ankhs passive taking more damage, but considering he heals less than ever and the shield was not buffed, it’s utter crap. And Da Ji ult is just a worse cc ult compared to monke, with only some minor utility, but is FAR easier to escape, since you can easily react with cc immune abilities unlike against monke. For him it’s beads or nothing.

Some more ults that are really good are Geb's Cataclysm, Xing Tian's Whirlwind of Rage and Steel, Cerberus' Stygian Torment, Jormungandr's The World Serpent, Mulan's Divine Mastery, Odin's Ring of Spears, Shiva's Shiva Tandava and any of the executes. Geb, Xing Tian, and Cerberus have some of the best setup ults in the game with Xing and Cerb's being a 'beads or die' in most cases. Jorm's is pretty underrated. It does good damage and gives him damage immunity for a while. It does give him some safety and does setup some of his other abilities quite well. Mulan's is another one that is kind of underrated. It has a lot of lock down potential with a lot of different CCs and with some decent damage as well. Odin's ult is another one that basically wastes a relic slot or is free kills. It is a great counter to certain gods that don't have good movement and/or requires healing to stay in the fight. Shiva's ult is interesting because it can flex really well depending on the situation. The healing changes have hurt it somewhat but the damage is still respectable. Finally the executes speak for themselves. Being able to instantly kill people will never not be useful to put pressure. I hope to see a hunter and a guardian get executes because that will be fun.

It was on my original shortlist of ults and long ago it would have been top 10, but I feel like it's been nerfed A LOT over the years. Walls now breakable, attack speed reduction gone, healing isn't as good now so the 100% antiheal is less valuable. You now don't have to 'waste' a relic on phantom cause it's built into shell, etc. Maybe should have been in honorable mentions or in 15-11 though potentially. I can see the argument for it being there.

@@Ahlgreenz Basically, his ult is so strong, it can by itself bring characters in and out of meta, himself included. So changes to healing, AS reduction and how it stacks (when his ult had that), Vamana going through walls even, all can trace roots to cage. And way back in my boomer time, Odin himself was such an insanely strong support that he had to be reworked almost entirely to nerf him, and a huge chuck of his power was cage. I do agree with Inters3ct tho, I guess I'm looking at it more historically, not so much currently. Currently it's still very strong and can turn off entire teams with it, but not as strong as yesteryears. God I'm a SMITEboomer

It's a percentage and you take that as a percentage of your current power and add that to the total. So a 60% scaling ability with 500 power does an extra 300 damage from power scaling.

Don't agree with Hera being on the list, while gods like Batz, Merc, and Set exist (just from the top of my head). Also Terra is way too low. The heal nerf wasn't even a nerf to the ability as they gave you Dmg Mitigations as a tradeoff which is more than worth it. Olorun ulti is also way too low, and going off the logic you used for Janus, if these ults are used well, Olorun has a top 5 ulti in the game. Also I feel Lance could arguable be 15 as his ultimate. Regardless though, good list and it definitely is hard to rate so many ults.

absolutely love the morrigan but playin her forces me to damn sweat because I have to... Check every god in the current game Check all current items Decide what's most needed before I ult (chase? prot shred? defend? heal? AoE dmg? ST damage? Crit? Objective secure? Engage? Escape? etc) an I have to do it constantly all throughout the game. Sometimes I just don't feel like it an stick to bein whoever has the best Ctrl+alt+del kit but usually I'm sweatin my ass off with my ult decisions. Tho after 8 years of constant play it's not the "hardest" thing to do since every god ability, an item is well embedded into my muscle memory only I can't remember cooldowns (only "near instant" short or long) or the exact numbers for prot shreds or stims
