I had been struggling to find to find a helmet for my 11yr old daughter. Her head shape is more round and a lot of helmets seemed to favor more of egg shaped. Tried POC, GIRO, TLD, and nothing was working giving her headaches. As soon as she put it on she immediately loved it. She wears glasses and loved the way it allowed her to wear them and see clearly.

Great review as always Clint. I've been using the Smith Engage for over a year and love it. It covers the important stuff and is extremely comfortable. It's very adjustable like you said. It was reasonably priced and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Too funny- I now have two of the exact same helmets. I got a Smith Engage about a year ago for mtb and I have the Outdoor Masters for gravel which I got 2 months back. Both great helmets!

Do you always cross reference your helmet purchases with Virginia tech ratings ? I just ordered Agilis MIPS from GIRO, but wasn’t in Virginia tech rated

Skip the low end model and buy the smith session or forefront 2 instead. They are much lighter, more comfortable, and are often discounted at 40-50% so not much more expensive.

The Engage (12oz) weighs the least out of the Session (13oz) and Forefront 2(14oz) and is more expensive than the Session and slightly less expensive than the Forefront 2 ($10) so what are you referring to? The Engage isnt a low end model
