While I'm not a fan of her "little girl" choreo, I will admit that it is well put together at least. Also I like that she has 4 very different passes (twisting, laid out, arabian (front), and double salto). That's very rare to see in one routine.

I love how this routine pays homage to summer beach films of the '60's, using elements of go-go dancing of the era. At first glance, this may seem "junior"ish but its really quite clever in content. Especially since it uses the ending riff of "These Boots Are Made For Walking" to drive the tumbling passes. All Ragan needs is a good drag Queen to teach her how to throw a fierce look here and there throughout the routine to make this utterly shameless! :)

In fairness to this kid, she hit all her landings and no major deduction. Her music is a bit energy draining though but nonetheless a very good floor routine.

Why so many dislikes?? That's one thing to think that the score is not fair compared to other routines, but that has nothing to do with Regan, she performed a great routine with great dance and tried and did her best as she could!

Wow, lots of people complaining about scores... I'm gonna call bullshit on this one. Ragan's landings are SO well controlled. Judges love that. Mai's landings (except the double double) were not as confident. Mai had about twice the landing deductions. Enough with the conspiracies. Read up on the code before you complain.

Split legs and hop on double layout (0.2), adjustment on triple and slight underrotation (0.2), weak back leg on switch ring (0.3), step out of gogean leap (0.1), cowboyed double arabian (0.3), flexed feet on double pike and hop (0.2) = 8.7 E. Can people point out more? Haters who feel like experts lol.

Considering how everyone especially the russians were valued on beam and floor, ragans numbers were extremely high, also she had a huge mistake on bars and they gave her a 14.1!

Daniel Rosas HAHAHAHA THE RUSSIANS ON FLOOR? You mean Melnikova who fell twice and Eremina whose difficulty is really low? You know beam and floor have different judges right? You also know that she got barely an 8 in execution on bars which is pretty on the mark in terms of how it compares with other gymnasts? Her only major error was an extra swing. The rest are minute deductions.

I said the russians and Everyone! asshole. And Eremina's low difficulty affects her execution score in what way? I mean, Melnikova have some balance checks and got a 7.3, Smith had some balance checks and a fall! and got 7.2, The Final subdivision scores were extremely high compared to the other four

Ragan got 8.4 e because she was smart or her choreographer was because judges usually look for mistakes in leaps, tumbling passes and spins and Ragan does minimal of those to get the 2.0 cr and you can see in her routine she doesn't do a lot of leaps. Less leaps = less deductions

I don’t love her choreography (not saying much, I don’t like most of the choreo), but I do think she had some of the best execution. I think Ragan and Mai Murakami deserve the highest execution

What do u think it should be scored? Do u know the new system. It was a fair score and she deserved it. She had the difficulty but she made minor errors on 3 out of the 4 landings. Her difficulty still needs to be higher than 5.8

@@ajollypanda4175 Being a subjective sport, the judging can be really messy. Since the FIG changes to code of points after each Olympics, the scoring standards change

@@ajollypanda4175 deductions were not as strict in previous quads and the scoring in the 17-21 cop is at least .5 lower than previous quads because of the removal of one of the composite requirements of routine. Also, there are stricter deductions in this quad such as lack of precision in turns, leaps. The notable deduction for this quad is also the artistry deductions which are taken more seriously now

elsabeth black was overscored, and she’s canadian, so i don’t think it has anything to do with “being an american”. i think it’s more so the favoritism. ragan was the american favorite going in, same with ellie, so maybe the judges almost felt the need to give them those big scores. is it fair? no, but unfortunately, that’s sometimes how the sport works.

Oksana Chusovitina she got 8.966 and 9.133 on E and her form is poor. In Vault the judges given high E notes by the landing!!! so Shut up!!! the scores for Paseka are right. Ragan deserved 8.300. You need to see her troubles on landings, her body form in her DLO, etc. in her turns her legs........
