Nice job. What lathe are you using? I have a repair to do on a veglia tacho gauge for my morini 3.5. Maybe I will give it a go one day Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Is the tool that looks like it has been turned from hexagon bar rotating, or just turned from the hex ?

@@61kaaskop zeer interessant. De video commentaar is zeer summier ;-) Is dit wat geworden ? Ik ben fan van twins, en zeker 650 later model.

Are you in the UK by any chance? I am having difficulty compressing the sealing ring on my new BMW R75/5 Motometer to refit a new bezel and need help.

Hallo "Snakecharner" I'm located in the Netherlands (if that is a problem) But We are in luck, If you reed the commands made by "Brianna Jomen" He is specialized in crimping all kind of bezels mostly German and English. Maybe you could contact him,

61kaaskop Thank you, I am going to see if I can make myself a simple press first. Failing that I will try to locate your contact. Regards, Chris.

That's exactly how he does it! It's remarkable. How did the factory do it?

They have a machine that presses the bezel on. a really good speedometer repair house will have one too. I have one but mine is mechanical in design. It uses a chain with a crank to turn it. you set the instrument on the opposite platform and crank the handle. I use it for many different gauges with crimped on bezels but mostly German and English. Can not use it to remove the bezel tho. :)

hello Brianna, would u pleas give me your mail id or whats app number. i want some help from you, i think only you can help me

It works doesn't it? A press tool may have been used originally, but for production speed is needed for efficiency. For repair and restoration 60 years later after the factory disappeared, this method is perfectly acceptable and I doubt anyone could see any difference.
