I've seen a lot of .22 semi auto reviews and there are a lot of good choices but I feel this is one of the best. This pistol is accurate, light weight (15 oz) and Smith & Wesson quality. Thanks for a great review of a gun I own and enjoy.

Just purchased one of these today, anxious to get to the range and put some rounds through it. I am a 22 fanatic and own several pistols and rifles in the 22 caliber. Enjoyed the video.

I have a Phoenix HP22A. It is a good gun for the price but My Taurus TX22 is an awesome firearm and with only a few ammo related issues in over fifteen hundred rounds it's accurate, reliable and eats everything I feed it. Thanks for the video and have a great evening.

I’ve got the same setup with 4 spare mags. You can one hand the MP22c and carry the 4 mags in your free hand. 50rds as quick as you can pull the trigger is a formidable deterrent.

Nice review. I’m a novice shooter and love this .22, surprised it took the subsonic rounds and cycled. Usually not a fan of loud music over videos but that was damn good music.

It's very easy to give a trigger job to the compact. Simple, pop the slide, the sear & hammer are right there. shorten & smooth the sear. Also when yet carrying a gun for protection the last thing you worry about is what the jury thinks.

Great review…that is a fun gun to shoot. Have you been able to find a holster for it with the light? I’m having a hard time finding one. Thanks
@johnnyshootsalot Жыл бұрын
Man... I doubt anybody makes one. The only real reason I put that light/laser on there is because now I run it with a supressor all the time. But a great .22.

CraftHolsters make several varieties of leather holsters for almost any gun you can think of (including this one) and for a great price... the one downside is the VERY long wait time.

After 13 rounds of mini mags…the firing pin broke. Sent it to S&W for repair.

Does that Olight work? Did it improve your shooting? Was it reliable?

Are there 13 round magazines for this model?

It's important to remember we are accountable for every round we may have to fire in a self-defense encounter. The police, and eventually in court, the prosecutor will question each and every round fired. The caliber of the gun is far less important than the reason for firing, the area the round/rounds were fired into, and the number of rounds fired. 1 round of a standard defensive caliber such as 380 ACP, 38 SPL, 9mm, 40 S&W 45 ACP or 357 Mag is going to be far easier to explain than many rounds fired, regardless of caliber chosen. Sure, apersecutor may key in on a specific caliber that has "magnum" attached to it such as 357 magnum or 44 magnum, but as long as the shooting is deemed self-defense, it's not going to matter. On the other hand, many KZbin channels advocate shooting as many rounds as you can put on the assailant, as fast as possible, especially in smaller calibers, in order for that caliber to be as effective as possible. This is going to be much harder to defend against in court. The person that fires 1 round center mass to defend him/herself is going to be looked at far differently than the person that fires 3, 5,15 or more shots to defend themselves. Another issue is where the bullet impacts the attacker. 1 round center mass will be looked at far more favorably than 1 round placed center of the head of the assailant. A round fired to the head is often recommended in small calibers, but it's going to look an awful lot less like defense in court, and much more like the intent was not to stop, but kill the assailant.

Something to think about for sure . 22lr is effective but it might not stop the threat right away
@armedfarm3429 Жыл бұрын
A 22 beats a chain across the face, you shoot until the threat is stopped, PERIOD!
@jbazan119 ай бұрын
You have to stop the threat by all means possible! If you somehow in the process do a headshot the threat has been stopped completely! If you fire 3 shots to the body it can be deemed self defense because all people will react differently to danger situations. Some will run, some will coperate, others will freeze and others will fight back!
@frankbrowning3289 ай бұрын
@@armedfarm3429I agree with you. My comment refers to being responsible and accountable for all rounds fired. Many of the newer shooters believe it is acceptable to basically spray any assailant with every round available as fast as they can pull the trigger like some sort of action movie.
