That was going to be my new CCW but then a deal on a 43X fell in my lap so I went with that. I still have the original Shield and it recoils less than the 43X, less than the Springfield Hellcat, and the FN reflex. I don’t know what kind of magic they used in the recoil spring but the recoil impulse is perfect on a Shield.

I got too many subcompacts at the moments during not in the market for another one. I’m looking for a new duty size gun for the bedside but I’m always interested in folks opinion on the Shield.@@KevShots713

I have the safety version and just leave it in the down position (very stiff and unlikely to activate unless deliberately pushed)
