They both have that Conn/Selmer blend, but I would say the GM1 is more Conn & the S46 more Selmer.

Congratulations. This project looks promising. Thanks for the your time. I absolutely love the sound of my Tenor SML Gold Medal Mk. I, Nickel Plated, from 1965. I actually use the same mouthpiece/reed combination which is a perfect match.

Thanks a lot. Although I think the silver plating affects the sound too, so it would be nice to get a comparison with a laquered one. But anyway they both sound great while the gold medal has some nice mechanical features which the super 46 doesn't.
