Watching her dance, I see LIFE with all of its aspects: struggles, love, relationsship, solitude, angers... The dance is so beautiful, so emotional...Thanks so much for posting.

es impresionante la cantidad de emociones que es capaz de expresar el cuerpo humano sin proninciar ni un solo sonido. qué grande. eso es ARTE. gracias.

This may well be the most beautiful dance I have ever seen. She is enchanting and haunting at the same time. Incredible.

I wish that one day, I would touch my audience as the way she touches my heart. Sometimes, there is no need for fancy costumes, for magnificant stage, or all that glitters... to make me cry! thank you, Sylvie!

Wow! That was the most amazing ballet I´ve ever seen! First time I see this ASTOUNDING woman! (although I´ve seen Mats Ek and his ballets many times.)

I saw this video three years ago and I really didn't liked it, I think mainly because deep down, I did not understand. But time passed and I grew as an artist and as a human being and the way I see the world change ... and luckily I saw this piece again, and this time, I moved from the depths of my soul. Sylvie is one of the most enlightened artists out there, there's magic in each of their movements.

My favorite too. I can't believe there are critics that oppose her for leaving traditional ballet. If they had a real eye for beauty they would appreciate variety in art. Everyone can't be doing dying swan. She did her part for them; the contemporary ballet is her special gift to the world.

My ex showed me this video. We were both 21 years old at the time. I was instantly touched by what I was seeing. I snuck a glance at his face as he watched on his own. His facial expression was so beautiful. That was the moment I fell in love with him. To this day 9 years later when I watch this I still tear up thinking about him. This woman is heartbroken and alone. Corroded by pain and loss. Her movements show all of that and so much more. Her mannerisms are the visual representation of sadness and despair. It's so beautiful and haunting. The moment he comes back dancing with her is cathartic and beautiful.

@0Lollipop0100 I don't know why smoke, but to me it represents the ephemeral transcience of life, love, death, and everything inbetween ... the weightlessness of time, the wisps of inspiration that form us, the subtle swirling ecstasy of being alive and knowing it can't last.
