Smoke gets in your eyes

The paths we are always presented with are no more material than smoke... And the desires which make some more attractive than others put that smoke in your eyes. The trickster in us is always trying to divert us away into fun which is ultimately self-serving. But each of us also has an ally inside which is encouraging us to clear out the smoke and follow the path of practice; the path that gets us to self-knowledge.
