@@TabletopWitchCRAFT That is just crazy! I remember 15 years ago my son had a motorized Thomas the Tank Engine train set in which you put a few drops of water in Thomas's smoke stack and he lets out little puffs of cold smoke as he goes around the track. My son loved that set and I thought the cold smoke idea was really cool for all sorts of things, from toys to cosplay to tabletop terrains, dioramas, and holiday decor. Of course I wasn't about to tear apart my son's toy and I had no way of getting anything like that at the time for what I wanted to use it for... I like the miniaturized tech we have now!

This quality is next level how he incorporated all additional uses with an ease of use that is very intuitive. Definitely a great innovation and no way of the average of DIYers are going to produce such an elegant solution to this need. A DIY er would have to be pretty advanced to get a working model but VERY advanced to get anywhere near the all encompassing, neatly made and fully functioning compact mechanism.

I'm not hating! I recognize that electronic cigarette because I've had dozens of them years ago lol(Clearomizer was the catch-all phrase). Comes with the ego base and a 510 pin connector. The hodge-podgery going on here in next level clever. I love that this runs on a single 18650 battery, typical for that ecig. The quick connects are genius. Those coils easily burn out though because the silica wick is slow to keep up. Luckily a 5 pack was around $15 I'm assuming there is a fan in that 3d printed box?

@@TonyE727 This can run about 20 minutes max before all the fog juice is used up. At that point it would need to be turned off and refilled. The Fog Monster and their other stuff uses water instead of fog juice, with the same ultrasonic system as humidifiers. The advantage is that you don't need dedicated juice, which does leave a residue which would be noticeable over time (multiple sessions, or a campaign, or a tournament if you're doing wargames instead of RPGs), and can produce insane flows of fog very fast. The disadvantage is that, well, you're essentially spraying water all over your tabletop, your terrain and minis will get moist, which is a problem if things are not fully sealed and specially with the risk of reactivating PVA, so varnish becomes a hard requirement. Neither solution is perfect, but the results are so drool-worthy with either method that the extra efforts are small compared to the creepy awesome ambience :D

@@jherazob Thank you for the information! Helps me big time, I am def getting one in the near future. I will most likely limit how often I use it for encounters to help reduce any moisture issues over time. I do seal all my minis and terrain but it's still a concern. The effect is just too tantalizing to not go for it though lol. Thanks again! :)

I'm sorry, 20 minute run time before refill is needed, I have d&d combats that last for hours. The RealGameFX FogMonster water based machine will keep effects on the table for hours. There is water residue build up but their V2 has way less of that. They also have a bunch of terrain pieces that help you blend the smoke machine with. This one is a neat novelty but ultimately falls short by comparison.

Philosophy of use. If you want something to run for hours it might not be what you want, but for effects during gameplay up to 20 minutes long this this is awesome.

Wow $40.00 for shipping on an $80.00 item is steep. Was ordering it until I saw that

It has to travel a long way. I think even with the shipping cost its cheaper than anything you can get here in the states.

it ships from the Netherlands, sadly prices have gone up for shipping to the US, that combined with a not so well conversion for the dollar to euro rate, and thats the end result.

@@WaynesWorkshop do you not have flat rate shipping options? I mail stuff home to Ireland from the states all the time. US post office has a smaller box that as long as it’s under 4 pounds is about $12 to ship .

@@colmbright9822 afraid not, I can only ship up to 350 grams for 11 euro to the states, a smoker is more in weight sadly so it skyrockets to that price.

You can totally make something like this out of vaping parts if you have the electronics skills, cheaper

@@Viking2Go yes but as someone who spends $20 on XPS foam and builds a ton of stuff, it would be hard to drop $110 CAD on something that is not used all that much

If you guys want to keep buying this "smoker" then you'd better help fight the "Vape Bans" that keep happening. Since, he modified a Vape Pen. If all these laws keep getting placed on Vape products and banning the sale of them.... No more coils to fix broken smokers. No more Vape Pens to build new ones. No more smokers. Period.
