Just a little extra because the ‘Easter eggs’ NF adds in his videos are AMAZING, I can’t even get to all of them or I’ll be doing an essay! So he usually wears black in his videos with black balloons. The balloons are his burdens that he carries with him. Wearing white in this video was a show that this album is about growth and change for the better. The version of him wearing black in the video represents his old self trying to hold him back and keep him from changing/growing. The ‘map’ he is carrying around in the video is the ‘map to hope’ that he mentions looking for in his song ‘The Search’. The old man in the video is from another music video called ‘Let you down’ …MUST MUST WATCH!! It’s about his relationship with his dad. In this song hope he also mentions forgiving his mother which is HUGE, you should really listen to his song ‘How could you leave us’ (about his mom). Be warned. ITS VERY VERY EMOTIONAL but a must watch because his new album hope also has a song called ‘mama’ which is a continuation of ‘how could you leave us’ Also some real bops to watch to get you hyped AF - ‘careful’, ‘motto’ and ‘turn my back’.
