@@BachmanBachmanchannel Awsome! Thank you for your generosity. You warm our hearts every Friday. Can't wait to see you back in concert. Now we need to start a major campaign to get Randy in The RRHF. It's better late than never but it's unacceptable you are not already in with the Guess Who-BTO and your incredible contribution to the Music Industry. Thanks to Tal for his great Music...Such an excellent musician. Thank you Koko for your nice contribution for the shows.

Sure would be nice if you catalogued which songs you did on which episode! Then I could easily find them when I had to relearn them. You see , I’m kind of lazy that way! Still learning lots from both of you!

Randy, Today (the day I'm writing) is August 9, 2020, the 51st anniversary of the Charles Manson murders. The Guess Who was in LA in those days and I always wondered if "American Woman" was written about one of the Manson girls since it was recorded August 13, 1969. Burton was close with Jim Morrison and Morrison knew Manson and the girls. Neil Young knew Manson and the girls, too. You quit The Guess Who in May 1970, shortly after the Manson family arrests. A few other Guess Who songs seem to possibly be related to the Manson family. You explain "Taking Care of Business" a bit, but not totally, and I wonder if the final version of "Taking Care of Business" had anything to do with Elvis since that was his motto. Elvis wasn't liked by some rock n' rollers and he allegedly went on drug raids with cops (and working over time). So can you share some stories with us please...

"American Woman" had nothing to do with the Manson family, or anything political. It was about the band returning to Canada after a long American tour. It could of easily been called "Canadian Woman" come closer. And "Taking Care Of Business", the title came from a Canadian DJ who was using that phrase as part of his show. Bachman heard that and decided it sounded like a good title for a song. And the rest is history. Hope that helps.

Fun night guys! So many great songs to Choose from to play. Someone else suggested ELO “ Don’t Bring Me Down” that would be good. Maybe Joe Walsh ‘ help me through the night” or “Early Birdcall Morning”. Hard to do some of his others on acoustic. If you want 90’s how about “Runaway Train” by Soul asylum. Anyway, thanks guys you make Frady nights fun. Peace an stay healthy and safe.
