Thanks for subing to my irobodude channel. I am building the outdoor kitchen and my plan is to buy the Recteq 1250 when it's done. I just don't want it sitting around while I build. Your videos are great, thanks for posting.

Great video!! What brand and flavor of pellets did you use?
@ElSenorBbq2 жыл бұрын
Lumberjack Oak is fantastic but on this one I used B&B Post Oak Pellets. VERY GOOD!

Did you baste with salted or unsalted butter?
@ElSenorBbq2 жыл бұрын
Salted my man! I've done unsalted and it's alright but I feel the salted just gives it a bit more pop in flavor. Whichever you prefer is always great.

That Turkey look like a fryer because there almost that big nowadays

Horrible idea to suggest using a butterball and brine method. If you look bb turkeys have a 6+% salt solution already.
@ElSenorBbq Жыл бұрын
If you believe it's going to be salty then you probably have sensitive taste buds. I, along with many others do this almost every year and even inject and not once have I said that it was overly salty. To each their own I guess.
@jJ-lz2mk Жыл бұрын
@ElSenorBbq -meh not sensitive at all just the facts, but agreed you do you. Just wanted to get that comment out there so as to not mislead your viewers, thanks

And I just bought a butterball and brine kit also injection kit
@jJ-lz2mk Жыл бұрын
@arnoldceja2971 you can do it just cut the salt on the brine in half double the water and go less time. Or just inject it only
@ElSenorBbq Жыл бұрын
@@jJ-lz2mk most definitely! I haven't had an issue but I can see how some folks may. I think if the saltiness may be an issue or worried about over salting it, do what jJ said and it'll turn out great!
