Written Instructions:
• To use, place a tea light candle in the bottom tray and light it. Place incense into the incense pan. It will begin emitting fragrance within about 30 seconds.
• To melt properly, some incense will require the pan be lowered until the grille is ¼ inch from the tip of the candle flame.
• Incense burners become hot during use. Handle with care. This censer is designed for stationary use, not to be carried around.
• For best results, use beeswax tea light candles. Regular paraffin candles burn at a lower temperature and emit black soot that will quickly coat the bottom of the incense pan.
• To clean, allow the censer to cool completely and gently scrape the carbonized incense off the grate with your fingers or a non-abrasive tool such as a toothbrush. Freezing the grate can make stubborn pieces more brittle and easier to remove.
• Place a small piece of aluminum foil on the grate and put the incense on the foil for effortless cleanup.
• Always use tongs or a spoon to handle incense grains in the censer.

I have found the same info about fumes from aluminum foil online.

The heat should not be nearly enough to actually cause the aluminum to combust, but we will look into this.

If that were the case every Barbeque and oven bake would be a toxic event lol tea light candles don't get hot enough to melt or combust aluminum to cause toxic fumes. Has to be over 1000°F and some change to even begin to melt aluminum.

True however the foil is not in contact with the flame and there's not enough heat to do that. Otherwise every time you put foil in the oven you'd be given a dose

I think some instructions of how far the incense should be away from the flame is necessary for your videos and when one receives one of your burners. My experience is that if the screen is too close but does not appear to be that the resin burns faster than the wax. So as the resin begins to drip the resin and the candle wax sit in the cup and lower the flame till it’s burned out.

How long will the beeswax candle last? I'm wondering how many times I can burn a few granules if incense with 1candle and need to determine how many candles I would need per month.

Can a small votive lamp glass be used as a flame instead of a tea candle?

I wonder how well it would work if I placed the incense in an empty tea candle tin, and placed that on the grill above the flame? There'd be no clean up. Thank you for these helpful videos, Legacy. Ima buy from you guys.

We have not tested this, but it would likely work similar to using aluminum foil. Being a thicker material, it may insulate more and provide a gentler heat.

Any idea how well these work with woods like agarwood?

We have not tested this, but it may work if you place aluminum foil on the grille to insulate the wood from the heat. If it is powdered, it would fall through the holes unless you use aluminum foil.

Will an air conditioner disperse the smell quicker? I’m concerned if I burn incense while the ac is on it’ll get rid of the smell of the incense quicker

If there is a vent blowing on or near the incense, yes it will tend to dissipate quicker.

How does the resin not drip through the tray and onto the candle once it melts?

We recommend using Athonite style incense with the Smokeless Incense Burner, as some resins can drip through. Or you can put your incense on top of a piece of aluminum foil to prevent resin from dripping through.

Does the arm swing around 180° so I can place the incense over my vigil lamp's existing flame instead of having to light another flame from a tealight candle?

Could you use charcoal disc in the bottom of this burner if it was brass? I bought one simular to this one with a brass bottom.

No. This burner only works with a tea light candle.

Why beeswax candle?

We prefer beeswax for a couple of reasons: 1. Beeswax candles last longer than paraffin (when they are allowed to fully liquefy on the surface, as is true with all candles) 2. Beeswax is natural, while paraffin is a processed petroleum byproduct 3. Beeswax has virtually no soot, while paraffin produces a lot of soot/black smoke

Very useful video! How would you advice to prevent the resin from burning out completely? After burning and spreading its scent, it tends to become darker and spread a burnt scent, which gets to cover the previous scent, I don't know if you see what I mean. Being a burnt scent, it may even be harmful, as far as I know. Thank you in advance for your reply :)

This is normal and will happen eventually. To slow down this process we recommend putting a piece of aluminum foil on the grate to insulate the incense more.

@@LegacyIcons Thank you for your answer. Actually I do use tinfoil, but the problem is that the resin burns within it as well. Is this maybe related rather to the distance between the resin and the flame?
