Love the productions. Very clever and efficient stoves. Many other videos focus on air tight models but yours are simple and just as efficient. I Love em.

Great idea! Try using the fibonacci spiral. Nature is usually the most effective. :)

Enlarge the opening between the two tubes to the biggest dimension you can, then make another can the same and cut it lengthwise so as to slip it into the stove. This is so you can experiment with the air flow. Adversely you could first cut the top of the divider horizontally and bend it into the riser slightly so as to increase the volume without decreasing the directional flow assistance.

thai Chi is great because it also serves as a bit of a baffle burning up more of the smoke.. In this demo I think it also looks better, on camera at least

Try the first stove and from the bottom run a bolt or round tube up the center of the chimney, the fire will hit the center tube and cause it to spin in the vortex, you can play with sizes etc..

escargo del fuego! secondary air at the right hand entry point with a small lip on the seam to create a draw.

The snail seems forced. The one on the left burns easier, so I would add a choke to the left one to limit oxygen, just a small secondary tube and close off the intake, because the one on the left is actually a double vortex as it exits, so maybe try putting the the two baffled that slope up at the bottom of the pipe to move the double vortex at the base of the chimney.

How will either one actually be used for what a stove is used for ( cooking , or , heat ) ?

Loz Harrop showed how to achieve a simple vortex .. the challenge is to achieve a torroidal vortex.

a big question: vortex to the left or right side on which earth hemisphere ???
@bestestinventions70326 жыл бұрын
wait.. i didn't know the hemisphere would affect the vortex.. i'm in north hemisphere but near tropic
@JohnyCaffe6 жыл бұрын
i dont know too about fire. I know that the magnetic field directs water elsewhere in the northern and southern hemispheres. Try to drain the water from the bottle or from the tub to which it spins. maybe the same effect on a fire and not to force the flame to reverse. it may not matter at all. mabye is bug.

clockwise in north counter clockwise in southern hemisphere take the riser off turn it over put riser back on what was bottom now top. clockwise fire flow.

Of the two. Which has a hotter flame at the top cooking surface? I would think that the yin/yang would because it has a direct flame, while the snail has hot gas.
