This is pretty impressive and ingenious! The title made me curious, I watched the whole thing and had the "ohhh now I get it" moment when I saw the fire roar more with the steam pressure release. Thank you for sharing the DIY build. I really like how it doesn't require anything extra really like a fan and instead uses steam pressure in a very intelligent way that is something people in poverty can use for their benefit. I'm sure a bunch of people all over the world can use it well and have already judging by the number of views. May the Heavenly Father bless you if it is His will or cheers if that's your preferred greeting. Take care.

That concept rests on a very precarious balance point between pressure relief and catastrophic failure. Unless there is any way of monitoring the pressures involved, i would not recommend using it as a staple for heating/cooking or otherwise. There is always the consideration of having too much pressure built up, even with the Jet nozzle principle inside. Which incidentally is able to make things worse if enough fluids remain and temps/pressure are not monitored. This is a DIY project after all and all it takes is one shoddy weld to make shit go kabloowee.

@@figgerace I think modding a safety pressure valve from a pressure cooker (essentialy a plug with springs) would alleviate the problem. personally I'd also add a pressure meter and a fluid level from glass so I can see how much water is left inside. I really wanna make this, but to use waste oil as fuel
@kalleklp729111 ай бұрын
@@figgerace I'm a blacksmith and know a fair bit about boilers and see your concern. I'd strongly advise installing a pressure relief valve on that boiler. One that opens at about 2 bar would be preferable as a safety mechanism. Hot steam under pressure is no joke and causes serious injuries! Also, a pressure test with water (NEVER air!) before it's going to be used would be my recommendation.

I made rocket stoves during the Covid lockdown and they gave good heat, however, woks require a more intense heat flame and this design allows that to occur. A brilliant design, but perhaps an over pressure relief valve would certainly be a must.

One would hope that in building it and the necessity in building it for someone to build it that they wouldn't forget something like that. Honestly, if someone would did, it wouldn't be the fault of the build or system, but just the person. You didn't even complement or say thanks for sharing the DIY before criticizing. I could be wrong, but you strike me as perhaps the type that does that often. Every system is only as failproof as the person operating it. When people make something deemed as foolproof and without any chances for things to go wrong, they often make themselves into fools over time, because necessity and adversity is what keeps people mentally sharp in the first place. When things are too easy, people become rather ignorant at the least or purposefully ignorant at worst. Reflect on how much of a dive in intelligence humanity in general has taken ever since "smart" technology was introduced. When people can just be spoonfed the answers by siri or alexa, they don't ever learn to appreciate the process of learning and subsequently how to enjoy it either, and then they take the knowledge for granted. That's how we ended up with most of the people who have only ever known the digital world demanding to be spoonfed all the time and being so disdainful of being told to do their own research in the first place.
