Smokey Mountain Reunion 2020: Mr. C Interviews the Members

Smokey Mountain held a virtual reunion on June 30, 2020 to benefit the World Wildlife Fund. During the show, National Artist for Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab interviewed the different members of the group about their experiences in Smokey Mountain. Included in the interview are from Batch 1: Tony Lambino, Jeffrey Hidalgo, and Geneva Cruz, and from Batch 2: Chedi Vergara, Shar Santos, and Anna Fegi. Unavailable at the time of the interview were James Coronel and Jayson Angangan.

First batch GENEVA CRUZ, JEFFREY HIDALGO, TONY LAMBINO, JAMES CORONEL. Khit nung nag solo na si GENEVA at si JAMES lng nag stay sa second batch CHEDI VERGARA, JASON ANGANGAN, SHAR SANTOS. Kht late midnight na inabangan ko pa sa tv abs noon yung ipalabas yung pagsali nila sa contest sa Malaysia etc. Hanggang si CHEDI at JAYSON nlng nag stay at nag join si ANNA FEJI-BROWN. Binili ko lahat ng Cassette Albums nila SMOKEY MOUNTAIN 1 and 2, pati yung solo album ni Geneva... Kinakanta ko lht ng songs nila, sinasabayan ko sila, till now alam ko pa tono at memorize ko pa yung iba, i even sung their songs sa videoke, npka wholesome kc ng lyrics ng mga songs nila at nkaka-inspire. Ang saya ng kabataan ko dhl sa kanilang musika, ang sarap balikan mga ala-ala. Npka nostalgic, gang ngayon kinilabutan parin ako nung napanuod ko uli yung performance nila sa Malaysia singing PARAISO, ang galing lng ng blending and harmony ng voice nila, sarap pakinggan. James coronel was my school mate at st Rita college in Parañaque and yes he was the crush ng bayan! I remember being called to the office one day cause me and my friends were giggling so loud during assembly cause James was there. Man, those were the days! Then i got sick the following year , and had to transfer to DECS Home Study there I met Mercedes (chedi) Sharon (Shar), I remember being star struck. Good to see everybody, they all look great too!
