I also love the fact everyone wasn't blowing horns and bells all over the place . Everything seemed low key and more natural:)

It's amazing that seeing a U Boat in 1992 was like catching a Dash 8-40CW in 2014 in terms of how old the loco is.. Dash 8's are somewhat rare but a little railfanning and you will see plenty.. Wish i was old enough in the early 90's to see them

EARTH ANGEL😇 YES Ronnie, sometimes very 😢 sad to remember these past memories.🤔 I started going to the Lawrence yard quite often myself until it really wasn’t a “yard” anymore. I started going there 1990. Mostly times at Rosemont, Atkinson, Plaistow . My admiration for these crews AND their 🚂 is unmatched!!!😀👍😍💕😁

Me ,Moose and the guys at S.Lawrence Andover St. yard. the early days of Guilford was great for the railfans EMD/Alco/GE but not much fun for the railroad workers ! But all most every night for 15yrs or so the guys would show up after work (there were real jobs then not like now in Obama's F-d up world !) or dinner and we would watch and talk trains for ours each night, coffee's,donuts, pizza & pepsi !!! good times, and I drove up from Lynn for years and then NBPT still a long drive. Sadly so many are gone ! Ronnie Farnsworth Exeter,NH.

Yellow versions of these locomotives should be called "yellow submarines".
