Smoking La Aroma de Cuba Edición Especial | Cigar Review and Tequila Pairing

The Holt's Guys fire up another great video, this time smoking the La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial, a complex medium-to-full bodied cigar blended by legendary cigar maker Pepin Garcia.
Mazz and Faccia each spark up their favorite vitola and discuss the history of the blend and the tasting notes they pick up from this Nicaraguan Puro.
Finally, the guys cap it off with a few pours of the best tequila Faccia has ever tasted. He's a little worried you guys are going to buy it all up, but this pairing is too good not to share.

I know this may not be a popular opinion, but the La Aroma de Cuba EE is my favorite in the whole lineup. For me it just hits right. And most of the time, it's a Churchill that I gravitate to.

If you haven’t tried Fortaleza tequila, it is better than Don Julio 1942, my favorite tequila. Definitely try G4, Cazcanes, Fortaleza, ArteNOM, Lalo, El Tesoro, Siete Leguas or mijenta.

The stock is always low at the cigar/liquor store by me. It isn’t hard to get yet. I was in the humidor when this was recommended to me. Good stuff I bought the 7 resposata, 9 Anejo ,and 10 blanco. I actually prefer the 7&10.

This cigar has disappeared. Literally…i haven’t seen it in a cigar shop in my area in years. Tons of La Aroma classic, Mi Amor, Passion and Nobleses. But the Edition? Nope..At one point I thought Ashton had discontinued it. Which I find odd because it was the second La Aroma that came out after the classic. I had to go online to check if it was still being made and yep, it is. I remember liking it a lot. I wonder if it’s one of those lines that just got lost between the classic and the mi amor. Those seem to be the most popular La Aromas at this time. So most retailers just opt out of ordering it. The same goes for Ashton’s aged maduro unfortunately. I still see that one but only in one or maybe two sizes whereas the Ashton classic, Vsg and Cabinet are in abundance

@holtscigars San Cristobal original, and the non-connecticut El Centurion are definitely two that come to mind from that factory. Nothing fancy, but i find myself going back to both of those blends often. Definitely just my pallet and preferences, not bashing the EE at all. Just wasn't for me!
