monica- i cannot tell you how much i appreciate your statement about being comfortable in what you do, and your style as a makeup artist. I have been working in television for 3 years, i love natural/ sexy makeup for my women. I am praised often, and people know my work from the other artists at my network, yet I often get down on myself for not having a more broad taste in my "look". Ive only recently come to accept that I dont have to know how to do everything, i dont have to be a special effects artist, or a MAC style artist. It means a lot to hear someone as established as you reinforcing that.

I have almond shaped hooded eyes! I absolutley love it! This is a beautiful look on a gorgeous lady! I feel like brows really make a big difference especially on hooded eyes so I love to keep mine groomed and well defined. I just want to say "thank you" for this tutorial. I have hooded eyes and this made a world of difference. They really look lifted. I have blue eyes and those two products - L'Oreal Infallible Smokissime and Maybelline Lasting Drama Pencil - combined with my Taupe eye shadow (I do not have the Birkin eye shadow) made my eyes stand out. I go to Tonya Crooks, aka The Brow Gal, here in LA. She makes a brow regrowth serum that I've had a lot of luck with. I never understood the hype over the Beauty Blender because I felt it absorbed so much product. I was hesitant to try the Real Techniques sponge, but I LOVE it. I love a lot of high end products, but I have to say Wet & Wild eyeshadow is actually quite good if you want to try it.
