Awesome video and Turkey looks delicious. I finally got my LSG pellet smoker delivered on Tuesday, burned it in yesterday (Wednesday). Now smoking the Turkey using same methods in this video. Can’t wait to taste the turkey. It will also be my first cook on LSG Pellet Smoker. Smoke on guys!

Another win for Rus and the LSG pellet smoker. Juicy and smoky is music to my ears. I did have some concerns when I saw you left the plastic leg holder thing that the birds come packed with but you didn’t mention anything about it as I thought it might melt @325. Thanks for sharing your videos.

My son wanted me to fry a turkey for this Thanksgiving, and when he went to the store yesterday, he called me and said the oil was $40 for 3 gallons, and my my double sized pot would require 8 gallons, so I told him to just get the turkey and bring it to me. I'm smoking that bad boy Thursday morning for him. He thought twice after seeing those crazy prices LOL

Great video!! I have a turkey still frozen and need to thaw it out and smoke it soon. I am going to try this method on my YS640. I may have missed it, but I did not see what brand/type of pellets you used? I have had my Yoder for over 10 years and need a new pellet smoker. After watching many videos on the Lone Star pellet smoker, I think my mind is made up. Thanks in advance for the answer on the pellets used.

Oh my gosh...I've never smoked a turkey before. I've always been more of a frier but that looks so stinking good @10:14 and @11:16 - I'm going to have to give this a shot this year. We have an extra turkey to experiment with - and I have the same PSSeasoning kit...so you can bet I'll be doing this one! Nice job Russ.

Very little. That is where the 3/16" thick steel really helps out by creating thermal mass and keeping the pit temperatures well within range.
