This episode was so amazing. I love watching Star Wars content that is created by people that truly know and love Star Wars. I wish we could get a sequel trilogy do over with Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau and get the reunion that we all wanted so much to happen. With the deep fake technology I'm sure they could do it. Luke looks so awesome in this episode. A huge improvement over The Mando season 2 finale. Seeing live action Cad Bane blew my mind. His transition from animation to live action is flawless. I think Cobb is still alive. That had to happen to rally up the town to fight. I just hope the finale is as epic as this episode was.

I honestly feel like book of boba fett will end Cad Bane's story arc. For one, he is the one that gave boba the dent in his helmet. 2. Cad Bane's species do age significantly a little longer then humans so technically Cad Bane is pretty old right now. Cad Bane took the deadliest Bounty Hunter position after Jango died, and now Boba will obtain it back. Only way Cad Bane will survive this series is if Boba some how destroys the head of the syndicate which would destroy Cad Bane's contract against him.

You might very well enjoy the series Justified as it stars Timothy Olyphant playing a western style law man - US marshal - in present day. He even wears a cowboy hat while taking down bad guys. When the Mandalorian first started I told my dad, who also watched Justified, that the Mandalorian was a lot like Justified in how the two characters were badasses taking on all comers.

I would love this actually! When I saw the choice he had to make I thought it was a little lame since I feel like so far it seems kind of obvious that Grogu would return to Mando. The reason I think that is the hollowing out of the droid port making a perfect spot for Grogu on the ship seems like foreshadowing that's a bit on the nose. Kind of to go along with the theory at the end of the video, if Luke shows up on Tatooine during the battle and decides to intervene it would kind of be impossible for him to not steal the spotlight. Also it would kind of go against what he seems to be teaching since he does have a connection to Tatooine. Maybe he doesn't love the place, but it is attachment regardless. I do want to say, if Luke does steal the show I'm totally fine with it as a fan of Star Wars. However, I also really just like seeing conflict play out without having something as powerful as a Jedi swoop in and solve it. Hope you're right, Mark!

The thing is.....In the original trilogy, Luke was asked to choose his training over his friends but he didn't. And he still completed his training and became a great jedi. Doesn't make sense for Grogu to not be able to have both. I think Luke is just testing him as well. We will see. Great episode, though.

It is exactly what Luke is doing. Grogu is a Mandalorian... Tarr Vizsla was a Mandalorian Jedi who created the Darksaber. Grogu will walk the same path.

I believe Grogu will choose the armor because, as Luke stated, Grogu will outlive Din so he can always train as a Jedi after Din dies. That being said, I believe Din will ultimately go to Mandalore and bathe or drink the Living Waters of Mandalore. The Living Waters will accept Din enabling him to claim he's a true Mandalorian. I also believe that before Din can stop him Grogu will also bathe/drink of the Living Waters and also be accepted as a Mandalorian. This will enable him to become the next Mandalorian Jedi. Now after his Jedi training I don't think Grogu will go after the Dark Saber because that would mean he would have to rule Mandalore for the rest of his life and I can't see that happening.

"What am I watching?" "Boba Fett" Oh crap! I snorted Pepsi out of my nose.....that was SO dry and so hysterical! This episode was basically crack for us Star Wars fans. It had everything we needed and more. I need to see Boba and Fennec face off against Cad Bane (a bit of history between the 3 of them...Bad Batch and then some). I need to see Mando and Krrsantan as the "enforcers". Arms pulled from sockets and impaled Pykes on sabers. There won't be any "Luke" though. Last time he and Boba were together, it didn't end well for one of them so there might be hurt feelings. The last episode will end on a cliff-hanger. It'll go down like the gunfighter square-off in Mos Pelgo....tense as all Hell and leaving us wanting more. Another great vid, Fam!

And I agree that CB's face was not perfect, but I've listened to many people over the years speculate about how difficult a live action Cad Bane would be...especially if it's practical effects. I had the exact same thought that you had at the end about Luke bringing Grogu to Mando. But I won't let my hopes up. This show is killing all expectations (in a good way, at least for me).

I have a theory. What if Grogu decides to wear the chainmail, which he must do so that canon must be maintained that Kylo Renn aka Ben Solo was Luke's first apprentice as stated in the new trilogy. Now I come to my theory. Grogu is brought to Mando by Luke because he chose the chain mail and sees that they need help against the Pikes. Luke Skywalker then decides to help them to clean his home planet from the Syndicate. Would this be a possibility or will they like J.J. Abrams already give Episode 8 with Episode 9 a backstop and give the new trilogy a complete backstop and Grogu decides to use Yoda's old lightsaber? Personally, I think we'll see Luke back in action with the lightsaber.

Luke helping free his homeworld makes sense. He knows the lay of the land, and he's THE Jedi right now. Fighting the invading Pykes would fit the "Peacekeepers" role of the Jedi.

I think the sequel trilogy and the Kylo Ren comic leading up to it give us Grogu's answer. Which is to say that he goes back to Din. As Luke said to Ahsoka, Luke felt it was more like Grogu was remembering rather than Luke actually training him and with that in mind, Grogu can study the Force on his own. It would be more difficult for him, but it's entirely possible. Studying with Luke would be more about the moral guidance of how he uses the Force, with some technique thrown in.

@Smols Family Reactions, 0:17 last week's episode was a great Mandalorian episode, but I don't think the Mandalorian the story was talking about was Din, as most people are saying. It was a great Mandalorian episode because Din was the vehicle to explain Mandalorian lore to us as it's going to be very important going forward. I think we were given some clues that'll apply to Boba and Grogu and some of that is playing out right now. Tarre Vizsla was a Mandalorian of two cultures, Mandalorian and Jedi. During his time, Mandalore was at odds with itself. He left the Jedi order to return home and unite his people. Mandalorians are at odds with themselves now, and we see it in Bo-Katan and the Children of the Watch, as well as how Mandalorians treat Boba Fett. Mandalorians have been at odds with one another since we met them in Clone Wars. Bo-Katan and the Armorer are Remnants of Mandalore's fractured past. They are what's wrong with Mandalore. Boba, Din and Grogu are Mandalore's future. We've always heard about the houses and clans of Mandalore, but I don't think any of us realized how important it is to be part of one until last week, when the Children of the Watch turned their backs to Din. Imagine that happening to a 12 year who lost his only family, that's very likely how Boba felt after Jango died. We learned in the Mandalorian through Bo-Katan that Mandalorians do not recognize Boba as a Mandalorian. They hold him accountable for Jango's actions and the actions of his brothers certainly didn't help. Boba's flashbacks of him watching Jango leave into the night on Kamino is probably a visual used to expressed Boba's loneliness and showing us when it happened--this series starts with Boba picking up Jango's helmet from the pit in Geonosis. Surely, these things aren't coincidental. Boba was a Mandalorian of no house, and he spent much of his life being rejected by his people. We shown to be a troubled and angry youth in Clone Wars, and I think for good reason. The OT tells us that he was a feared and ruthless bounty hunter, again for good reason. Boba was lashing out, and went where he felt acceptance. "Fate sometimes steps in to rescue the wretched." --Boba Fett That's what happened to Boba on the sands of Tatooine. The Jawas left him to die, but the Tuskens brought him back to their camp to live. It wasn't clear to us or Boba at first, but the Tuskens were trying to help him and the Rodian. Despite being attacked by Off-Worlders for no reason, the Tuskens still wanted to help and gave their guests a second chance. They gave Boba something no one ever did. Namely, a family. Boba was finally part of a house. He was given a culture and he had people. I think this is important because this is what Din is looking for, and it is likely why he chose not to go with Bo-Katan and lead. She's of a noble house, Clan Kryze. A Mandalorian of no house is a nobody, like Boba. The Tuskens healed Boba's scars and made him whole. This series spoke of families and their importance. We heard the crime lords on Tatooine speak of them, but also the Mandalorians. Boba has taken Jabba's palace and made it his home because, as he told Fennec, he's starting his own family. Boba's family is quickly growing. Boba embraces his two cultures like Tarre did. Boba's so proud of his two cultures that he literally wraps himself in them, he wears Tusken robes with his Mandalorian armor because they are who he is. Just as Tarre kept his lightsaber and beskar armor. Grogu, however, is more like Tarre as they have a more similar upbringing. Though I don't see Grogu as a Mandalorian leader anytime soon, as he lacks the knowledge to lead, at least that appears to be the case. Boba, however, is showing signs of leadership. I think Grogu is going to shock a lot of people when they see him using the Darksaber while wearing beskar. And I think Boba is going to evoke the image of the Mythosaur the Armorer spoke of when he rides atop his rancor. 0:31 Star Wars is an interconnected universe full of characters and stories that share the same space. ANH wasn't just about Luke, TESB wasn't only about Darth Vader/Empire, and RotJ wasn't just about Luke/Anakin either. No matter the title, Star Wars has always been so much more than any title may imply...why have fans forgotten that? Is it because they're judging individual chapters by the same rubric they do movies? If so that's a mistake, in my book. The series as a whole would be a fair comparison, IMHO. These episodes are actually called chapters, after all. I don't know about you, but I don't judge an entire book off of one or two okay chapters. I look at the story as a whole. The protagonist of a story isn't always part of every chapter anyway, and yet some (a lot?) are getting antsy because Boba isn't front and center? Come on guys. The Book of Boba Fett had two things it needed to achieve: explain why Boba Fett was the way he was in the Mandalorian, and where he's going as a character moving forward. They did in the first four chapters! They built up so much capital in the first four stories that they can afford to do what they're doing now. Boba doesn't have much left to tell us anyway, save for how he gets rid of the Pykes, which he's going to do very soon. The Mandalorian introduced Boba Fett, Asoka, Luke and so much more and no one batted an eye. Seems odd that people are getting worried now that the same characters are appearing in Boba's series--they are part same universe and exist in the same time. Okay, I need to shut up and get back to your reaction, lol. I'm only 31 seconds in and I've written a book, lol. 10:57 How did he get out? I think we're going to learn that Grogu saved himself. The scene ends with a lightsaber rolling towards him and Clone Troopers advancing. At this point in the story, Grogu should be about 20 years old and he would have been raised in the temple, learning from all the Jedi masters. Is Lucasfilm going to treat order 66 the same way the MCU treats the snap? We've seen it in games, Clone Wars, the Bad Batch and now here too. 18:01 is it though? This episode is filling in the other half of the story the Armor started. As many pointed out last week's episode was a Mandalorian story, which it was, just not Din's story, but all Mandalorians. Last week spoke of the lore, future and the importance of houses/families. This was is showing us the Jedi/Mandalorian angle as Tarre was both. Luke is going to make Grogu choose, not knowing about Tarre Vizsla, and also hinting at the fact that Grogu doesn't need a teacher. What he needed was someone to help he recover repressed memories. 27:59 Luke wants Grogu to choose, and Grogu already has, he wants to see Din. The thing is, Grogu doesn't need a teacher. We may not see him with Yoda's sword and that's fine, Din has one for him anyway =D Luke's going to get caught up with what's going on on Tatooine. Cad can't be all the Pykes have on their side, can he? Boba's got his finger on the scale and it seems very unfair with Jedi and Boba's crew. Next weeks is going to be epic, and I cannot wait.

We can all agree the, “Filoni Verse” has arrived am I right?!? And he should be the one steering the Star war universe Engine. So ima start off by saying I love this reaction, this is the first I’ve seen Papa Smols almost went to tears from pure happiness. Little man with the amazing jokes (I knew the force is strong within him), mama smalls front and center! Daughter smalls is a mini version of papa smalls. So this was possibly top 1-2 Star Wars episodes that were made. Doesn’t it remind you of the expanded universe?!? Those old books and stories? I’m pretty sure they have taken a page out of them; which had plenty of titles made. The deep fake Luke was awesome, it look to real. I hope we get to see him from time to time. Din Djarin is the star of the BoBF mini-series, not Boba Fett. Disney has always promoted the mini-series as Season 2.5 of “The Mandalorian”. Recent novels have included “Interlude” chapters. These chapters describe concurrent events in another part of the galaxy. The Cobb Vanth character was told entirely through “Interludes.” The BoBF mini-series is an merely an “Interlude” for the “The Mandalorian” TV series, albeit an extended interlude.

Two things: 1) It may be called the Book of Boba Fett, but like many books, there are chapters and passages without our lead character. And BoBF is still part of the Star Wrs universe. 2) I share the thought that Luke is testing Grogu. After all, abandoning Jedi training because of strong emotional connections to friends and/or family cost Luke his hand in Empire Strikes Back. I'm sure he doesn't want his students to share a similar or worse fate. I wish there was a scene where R2 beeps at Luke and Luke says: "What do you mean my dad flew a ship like that when he was 8?" about Din's ship.

I'm so done with this lame meme of "the best episode" doesn't have Boba Fett in it. Each episode has been "better" than the one before it because they are all building on each other. This is a seven story building and so far the sixth floor has the best views, but there would be no sixth floor without floors 1 to 5 to be built upon. The Darksaber is trying to communicate with Din about how to use it. Getting heavier or lighter is how the Darksaber speaks. . The actor who plays the Freetown bartender also played the Deadwood bartender. So many film homages. "Deadwood," "Justified," "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" at the top of the bamboo, "Good, Bad, and The Ugly" with Cad Bane as "Angel Eyes.","The Untouchables" with the night club bomb, "Lone Wolf and Cub" with the choice of paths, and more. I think the lightsaber that went into the furnace was a forgery of Yoda's lightsaber and used as propaganda, while Yoda's real lightsaber was was with him in his exile.

To be fair Grogu will grow out of the armor at one point, the light saber will always be there but at the moment will it even fit in his hands or can he even use it? Grogu can go for the armor now, then later go back once he is more mature. Just an opinion.

I'm bummed that they're still seemingly going into the Sequel Trilogy direction, kinda hoped they remade the canon from here. The whole "attachments lead to the Dark Side" thing should be left behind. Luke defeated Darth Vader because he gave into his anger, but he turned away from the Dark Side by looking at his father in pain, recognizing what would be of him if he chose the Dark Side, and he stood against the Emperor to protect his loved ones, Leia, Han, the Rebels. And it was watching Luke in pain that turned Vader back to the Light, to protect his son from the Emperor. The Dark Side doesn't automatically get a hold of you if you lose attachments, it's your character that decides that or not. Look at Obi-Wan. He cared for Anakin, he loved him like a brother. He watched him destroy the Jedi, Obi-Wan's comrades for most of his life. AND he watched Darth Maul kill a woman he admitted to love. And he didn't fall to the Dark Side. If anything all of these things made his resolve stronger. He suffered, but he pushed through, because he still believed in good over evil. He sure wasn't detached, he was just better.

I do not think Luke will join the fight against the Pykes. It would be a very unfair, 1-sided fight in favor of Luke and I do not think he has a stake in the fight. LOL...if Luke did go to Tatooine to help, what would happen if Boba saw Luke? I like to think if Ahsoka heard the Pykes and Cad Bane were causing trouble, she would want to help. But, I think having Ahsoka or Luke on Tatooine would take away from Mando, Black Krrstantan and Cobb Vanth being there to help. The only way it might be a fair fight and Ahsoka or Luke get involved would be if Qi'ra and Crimson Dawn show up with a new Force Sith user. I have a feeling we may see some Boba on Mandalorian season 3 and maybe even Ahsoka's show. Luke mentioned to Ahsoka (and I paraphrase) that he does not feel like he's really teaching Grogu much, but more like unlocking what he already knows. So, I wonder if Grogu might not actually need that much training but just needs his mind unlocked more and he may be able to go back to Mando after just a short time? So, it does not have to be a 1 or the other choice.

Why does this episode make me think of that Eric Clapton song, 'I Shot the Sheriff'? Hmm ... can't think why for the life of me! Anyway, time is getting very short for this series now so I can't see a full-on war breaking out - not in this season; maybe a skirmish or two, but I reckon that will be it. I think the next episode with have them getting everything in place before the trouble really kicks off - either in the next season, or more likely in the upcoming Mando series at the end of the year. As usual, I'm very likely way off, but the speculating is fun.

Yoda built a second lightsaber. A book "Star Wars: The Complete Locations" said Yoda had his lightsaber stored in his hut in Dagobah. The one Palpatine burned in the comics was probably his original one. Anakin lost or broke at least 3. Obi-Wan took the one for continuity in a New Hope. Luke has had at least 2 we know of and Ahsoka has had a few, hell, she dropped one in the water in Mandalorian that we don't know if she retrieved, lol. Anyway, it's not far fetched Yoda would have another one stored away.

#ThisIsTheWayOfTheForce This episode as well as the shows showed me the difference between those who give a damn about the Star Wars legacy(Fraveau, Filoni and Dallas Howard) and those who do not give a damn about the Star Wars legacy(Kennedy, Abrams and Johnson). Fun Fact: is that Dave Filoni created both Ashoka Tano and Cad Bane. Jon Fraveau created Grogu. Also Cobb Vanth in the opening coming in like Clint Eastwood and gunning down three Pykes(Man With No Name trilogy style) and kicking the spice down into the sand proves that he has principles and that he doesn't want any drugs in his town. Cad Bane is known as the "King of the Bounty Hunters" and we know that Cad is the best draw in the Far Far Galaxy and also Cad has history with both Boba and Fennac and Cad is a hunter who works for anyone if the price is right and he has joined the Pykes. Also Ashoka and Luke must've meet up awhile ago and they most liklely had a talk about Anakin at length in-between the events that is happening in Mando and TBOBF and that is why they didn't say much right now and Ashoka is getting her own show and I hope they show us those talks between Master Luke Skywalker and Ashoka Tano. Also the fact that Ashoka knows 2 generations of Skywalkers is mind blowing end of itself. The scene that hit the most is when Luke climbed up the tree to look at the landscape and then the Star wars theme hit and it reminded me so much of Luke when he looked the Twin Suns of Tatooine yearning for adventure in New Hope. Also the choice is very reminiscent of the choice that Luke had to make in Empire Strikes Back and the end result was Luke lost his hand, learned that Darth Vader was his father and that he almost died when he fell from Cloud City.

Favreau and Filoni have the depth of Star Wars knowledge perfectly blended with their joy and love as fans. They are picking up the loose threads of all Star Wars stories and weaving one cohesive, amazing narrative. They brought Star Wars back to me, and to a lot of us!

Either they retconned that comic, as they did the Kanan comic and parts of the Ahsoka novel, or Yoda made a new lightsaber. I think either is possible. I also don't think we will see Luke or Grogu again until season 3 of the Mandalorian.

Cad Bane will split Mando and Bobba apart. Bane will reveal for Mando that Boba worked with the Empire. the same Empire trying to get Grogu and destroyed Mandalore

I agree… they spent all that time with Luke and Grogu for a reason. Also they show Grogu learning to force jump for a specific reason… there will be a callback to that in the finale. Grogu will save himself by doing a force jump during the finale battle with Luke joining in the battle.

In the end, during the choice, I noticed something. Luke's right hand points towards the light saber. His hand shadow also points to the chain maile. I think Grogu could get both by picking the lightsaber.
