Awesome Ali ! I am super loving that Motion Design keyframer and how it breaks out the transform values into their own window! Will have to give it a try on my next project.

2:19 - What's the difference between put this command or disable the focus method in the camera? Isn't the same thing?
@ali.3dАй бұрын
Nothing at all! I just do it so I don’t need to check that setting whenever I make a new camera. Good thing to bring up though 🙏🏽

Thanks in advance, I have a workflow question that I cannot find discussed or mentioned anywhere. I your opinion what is an optimal workflow to best for deal with multiple scenes of an animation or cinematic, where each scene contains different lighting, objects, environments etc. Is there perhaps a more efficient option or other option than multiple levels? Definitely want to avoid multiple Unreal projects per shot. Killer work and taste btw, appreciate you sharing your creative knowledge!
@ali.3dАй бұрын
Thanks so much for the kind words! 🙏🏽 My first question is what deters you from wanting to use multiple levels? Is it a technical issue related thing? If I couldn't use sub-levels as an option, then I would definitely try to organise everything into Sequence files. So I'd have specific lighting setups and object positions setup as keyframes and spawnables per sequence. Then I'd use a master sequence to organise it all. The best workflow for me is the use of sequences AND sub-levels combined together to keep all my lighting scenarios, geometry setups, and Post Process volumes organised. And yeah you definitely don't want to be using multiple Unreal projects like you mentioned.

@@ali.3dThank you so much! This is very helpful and thorough. I wanted your advice regarding your workflow since I didn’t want to work multiple scenes in an inefficient manner out of ignorance and maybe paint myself into a corner. Many UE5 tutorials are single scene related and I could not find any multi scene / shot workflow videos or best practices. Now I know to look into using sub levels and master sequences. Your workflow advice is extremely helpful, thank you!

hey Ali can you please make a video of decals like how do we make a single sided decals in ue 5.4 its easy for the boxy type shapes but what about curvy shapes its visible on both sides of mesh and if i try to make my bounding box small then its fade out on curved meshes because the bounding box is not touching the side of the curved mesh i hope you get my point 🥲😅
