The absolute only razor I use on my head anymore. Bald cafe turned me onto it about a year ago, and after that first shave I knew I would use it exclusively for the rest of my life.

Same here. Nothing I've tried comes close to the Leaf's performance.

With an Astra Superior Platinum blade in it, it's therapeutic 💯

Hello Mark. Thank you for your video. The Leaf is just great, I've had my first head wet shave ever with the Leaf and it's my primary go-to head shaver since then. Enjoy the summer and family. Many greetings from the Czech Republic.

Hi Mark- Great head shave; thank you! It seemed very efficient. Take good care and best regards, as always!

Great video Mark. I’m glad you are enjoying the razor. Since I am not a head shave I need used it as I felt it was too aggressive for me.

Mark, Happy 4th of July sir! Thanks for reviewing The Leaf. I’ve tried and tried but just can’t seem to get on with The Leaf. Against the grain on the top of my scalp was the most difficult. Other areas of the head it worked great on. A true YMMV case study.👍

Glad to see that you enjoyed the head shave. I have been using the Leaf for 2 years now and won’t use anything on my head. I actually listened to this vid using my Leaf with #Sterlingsoap lavender scent. Keep with it you will not be disappointed.

I love the idea of the Leaf razor. I've got one...but it collects dust. I think it's a great transition from cartridge razors to double edge razors, but I must admit, once I went to the traditional DE razor, I just haven't looked back. But as you say, your face, your rules.

I use my leaf for my head shaves almost exclusively. I switch it up to a DE razor occasionally. Great shave, Mark! I hope you have a great day and great 4th of July weekend!

Ihad another shave with it with a full lather and got a nice result. I adjusted the pressure and things were fine.:)

Nice shave. I think you have the Leaf down but with a few more shaves and you will definitely have it down. I used the Leaf coming from cartridges so my first few shaves were blood baths but now this is my go to for head shaves especially if I need or want it done quickly. I use the bottom two slots unless I have irritation then I use the top two slots for a slightly milder shave that usually doesn't bother irritation or small bumps. I use the Thorn around my ears and you will probably have to do the same under the nose. I have a beard and only shaved it off a few times and the Leaf is ok for face shaves but prefer a regular de or se for that. Have a great week

Mike, I appreciate the feedback and insight. I used it again with a full lahger and got a nice result. I agree, it takes a few shaves to get it down. I may adjust the number of blades and got with two instead of the full three.:)

Looks like a great shave, Mark. Other YTers rave about the razor for head shaves only. They say it is not good for a face shave. Ill be interested to see another HSOTD once you've had lots of practice with the Leaf.

Thanks, Brian. I agree. I need to do a few more shaves to get the hang of it. Had another the other day with a nice result. But, had to lighten up on the pressure...just enough to engage the pivoting head, but not overly heavy-handed.

@@MarkSzorady no doubt you'll get the hang of if and really enjoy it. Your shave today inspired me to shave my fa e with Stirling Orange Chill. It was a nice shave.

Mark , good morning Sir. Just a little tip about the Leaf razor. Be careful not to over tighten the little screw. I have heard that it is very easy to strip it .great shave! Have a great day
@MarkSzorady3 ай бұрын
David, thanks for this tip.:) I find myself checking the thumbscrew from time to time during the shave to make sure things are still snugged,. But, as you pointed out, I'm aware not to over tighten. I shaved with it again using Solidus shave soap and got a really nice shave. Again, doing the top of my head was a bit of a challenge. The lather builds up and clogs the blades. However, Imay still be shaving hair in this area due to the smoothness of the razor. I've found that I need to not press that hard. Get the pivot engaged, but do not press down overly hard.

@MarkSzorady , there is a learning curve with the Leaf razor but I think it's worth the effort. A fantastic razor! I look forward to seeing you do more head shaves with the Leaf

I’m to the point I only use the Leaf on my head. I go down on the sides and back and from back to front on the top for the first pass. For the second pass, I go across on the sides and from front to back on the top. I use a DE to get the top of my ears and I’m good to go. It took me a month to get my system, but now it works. I can’t go against the grain as my hair on the sides is still thick and I don’t want any ingrown hairs.
@MarkSzorady3 ай бұрын
Dan, what kind of lather do you use? A full, creamy lather or something thin and slick like Cremo?
@Dan_003 ай бұрын
@@MarkSzorady I usually use something similar to what I use on my face. I also like to use Barbasol 1919 as a base before I apply the lather. You can find it at most drugstores. It’s inexpensive and VERY slick.

Excellent on the face also but requires a learned technique under the nose
