Big thanks for this explanation. Not too much talking, but plenty of details. I love it when creators explain HOW their methods work instead of just "use my settings." Got a new sub from me. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for this, slowed down a 30fps video to 15fps which looked choppy.. but after your suggestions within Retime and Scaling I couldn't believe how good it looked, even at the low FPS. Brilliant, thanks - Neil (UK)

If your clip is very choppy after doing this, you can just leave out "enhanced better". For me I only had to use Optical flow. Still... Amazing Billy

As a rule of thumb, when using optical flow, you should aim to use speeds which are a neat fraction of the original. IE: 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5 etc. This will ensure you're using the maximum number of 'real' frames possible. Also, the 'SpeedWarp' motion estimation is a step up from enhanced better, but it's very very slow.

I've been faking 120 FPS with my EOS R using Resolve's new "SPEED WARP" for a while now and it's better than anything else out there... by far! It does take a while to render though. "Enhanced Better" works a lot of the time, but can introduce artifacts sometimes. Speed Warp is the way to go if you have the time.
