When I show someone what snowboarding is, I show them this video. There is no higher compliment i can give you Ryan

Even in the East Coast where groomers are as rare as they come I always think about your riding and how much joy it brings me. Keep shredding, godfather of carving.

This kind of snowboarding should seriously be an Olympic sport. I enjoy watching this type of flow more than seeing how many revolutions someone is trying to pull off on a big jump.

So freaken sick!! Do you know why carving isn’t a competitive sport? Because no one wants to compete against Ryan!! I guarantee that once Ryan announces he’s retiring from snowboarding, carving will become a competitive sport. Am I the only one who has never seen someone do a deep tail press to carve (23-25 seconds in)? Nicely done Ryan!!

If there was a flat ground carve/style comp... Knapton 🥇 Gold medalist Garranz! Wheelie edge transfers are so sick, they need a vaccine!
@themrwinston95702 жыл бұрын
you just condensed all my life goals as a snowboarder into a 3 minute video... those rotations and butters as well, looks like there's zero wasted movement, your upper body control feels more subtle than most and it looks soooo damn steezy mixed in with those massive carves.

Hey Ryan, as a level 3 Casi and level 1 Casi freestyle instructor with 14 seasons under my belt, ( I know at 38 im a dinosaur in snowboard yearsI) I have to say watching you ride and blend 10/10 carving skills with 10/10 buttery presses with rotations both on and off snow is really impressive! I'm 6'3 and 95kg and ride a 158-164 board depending on park days/hard all mountain charging days and even though I know I'm smooth and can do everything you do on your vids, but watching you still makes me feel like I'd be lucky if I could get as smooth and seamless as you one day! Props bro, love the flow and uniqueness of your riding ☺️

Ryan Knapton has the same flair and style as Johan Cruijff showed on the soccerfields long time a go, the movements are like ballet. Roger Federer did it on the Tenniscourts. And then he finished the clip with Pink Floyd, the music fits so incredible good with Ryan performance he man you belong to my favourite sportsmen off all time!
@markbock30272 жыл бұрын
Awesome style. Reminds this Gen Xer of the ‘90s before everyone decided carving was uncool. My friend Josh rode a lot like this - not quite this good, but still fun to watch and fun to ride with. Makes me miss carving up the mountain on my old Burton Craig Kelly Slopestyle. Somewhere, Peter Bauer and Jean Nerva are smiling.

I like the selfie versions because then I don't have to worry about a filmer either behind me, sides, or in front. The downside is handling a camera for the shots doesn't lead to optimal body positions.
