Most easy to follow video on this subject thanks! I also have a question if you don’t mind me asking. Did you film really slow as in.. walking and doing slow movements? I know u filmed in a high frame rate. If you don’t mind telling us how you filmed it. Slow Walking with a gimbal?

Great Tutorial. But If There is audio, How to sync both? If I time remap clip, I've to adjust Audio every time. Thats why I Use speed/duration instead of Time Remapping If I want audio..🙌🏻
@unsliced46483 жыл бұрын
this is a cool video! you should do a tutorial or after effects speed ramps, having used both premeire and after effects speed ramps, i have to say, after effects has much better time remapping.

Ian, love your videos - concise and packed full of info. I've learnt loads from you, so a big 'thanks' from me. I was wondering if you could consider a topic for a future video? When I put my videos together for a client I often use lots of stock footage in there and use the low-res comping clips until the client approves. My question is: how can I quickly and easily swap this footage out (in Premiere) and replace it with the hi-res footage afterwards? Often, there are lots of jump/stutter cuts (thanks to you) plus any transformations etc., and it's not a simple job of holding the CTRL key and dragging over the top. Is there a quick and easy way to do this?
@LearnHowToEditStuff3 жыл бұрын
Great question! And yes! You can right click > make media offline then right click again > link med and link it to the high res clip! In theory it "should" work... but if you're doing any scaling on the low res clip then it might get funky at some point... It's not a very fast workaround, but it will work.
@127bradfordroad3 жыл бұрын
@@LearnHowToEditStuff Hi Ian, thanks so much for the quick reply! I'll try this method shortly and let you know how it copes with all the cuts and transformations - it'll be a good challenge. It's got to be easier/quicker than my current workflow....no wonder I have no hair left! You're the best - thanks from the chilly north of England : )
@127bradfordroad3 жыл бұрын
@@LearnHowToEditStuff Ian - you are the absolute top man (I have other terms of endearment but I'm in my late fifties)!! I've just tried this and it works a treat. It not only replaces the clip wherever it appears on my timeline but seems to remember scaling and whichever portion of the clip I'm using. This is going to save me so much time......and we know what time means? Thank you so, so much - this is a game changer for me - I may be retiring early!! : )

A small question to anyone who might know....When we speed up a normal 30fps clip on the timeline, the software is taking every 10th frame or so (example only) to make the video run faster ? so after final render i can see ghosting, like double frames of the previous frame like showing thru, and if you pause you can clearly see there's an overlap of the previous and the current frame. I tried different resample modes..smart, forced, disable etc. Still same result. There's no motion blur.
