When I was 18 years old in 1996, Sublime was all the rage for us in Southern California. You couldn’t walk down a street without hearing Sublime in someone’s house.

At some point the music world will see them as the huge influence they were. If Bradley had not passed away they could've been a huge constant touring presence like a mix of Marley/Dead/Beastie festival in one band. So talented. And like too many from the 90's the H got in the way.

The record company never advertised the album. They didn't know how to categorize the sound. A rock DJ bought it and played this song. And the rest is history.

@Smoggah agreed, it's an amazing and sad story. I believe they also won best new group of the year at the Grammys. Once they started getting air play.

Longtime fan of you, Van. Love your reactions. This song reminds me of a good friend of mine who used to to play at my bar. He would sing this song, improvising some of it. He was actually "took his own life" (cough. cough ...he was k*lled by guards on Halloween). Very good times. Rest in peace, Jimi LeGros.

Don’t get a tattoo that shows when wearing a v neck or short sleeves. I have to wear an undershirt which is quite hot at times with a collar shirt because of my high chest tattoo. I wish I could get rid of it.

Don't ever get a tattoo anywhere. You've been warned. If you get a tattoo, you'll remember my warning later in life. Trust that.
@v.j.30292 жыл бұрын

IF you get a tattoo.. make it classic. Something you can see carrying with you thru life. You're a journeyman embracing it all, but keep it simple and true. Lol, that's still a big IF. Tattoos are weighty matters.

Tattoos are awesome, locations however can pigeon hole you amd generate preconceived notions about your character. When I was 17 i really wanted a tatto on my hand, the tattoo artist talked me out of it. He was right, certainly would of affected my career and people's perceptions of me. Hand Tattoos and anything above the collar bone and you will be forever judged. Other than that, go crazy on the rest of your body. You don't want to end up looking like a doodle bear like some of these mumble rappers put there. Lol
