Love what Howard did after taking over.. But nothing compares to the original Killswitch imo.. Just like the old Drowning Pool singer

This is actually an easy song to play rhythm on. If you’re like me and need to feel like you know how to play every once in a while. Don’t take my word for it but I think you tune to open D and the rhythm is just strumming that D with muting. It’s been a while.

I Love all they're music but I believe the thing about Pompeii is this was in 1971. The sound of they're music for back in that time waa nothing but fire. I would need to rate Echoes a 5 alarm fire, if there is a 5 alarm.

If I'm not mistaken, busted flat is referring more to being broke than having a flat tire. Hitchhiking was very common then and it sounded like they were on the road together. Sort of like modern-day hobos. The song describes an interlude, a memory in the singer's colorful life, to me. I love story songs. Janis made this one her own. PS- Salinas is a city in California, also. I'm sure that's what the song is referring to as they were hitchhiking around the country together, traveling troubadours. In the songs story. Some people might call them bums, but it was a different world back then.

It's remarkably easy to watch these scenes from comfort, and just 'imagine' what [you'd do if you were there]... Boot Camp in the mid 90's wasn't this physical(officially) but you bet your ASS those DI's knew what to SAY to get in your head. No one ever knows what they'll do in a given situation until they're in it, and those of Us who graduated MCRD PISC *KNOW it's the best thing we EVER decided to do.

Lol the sad part is this is relatively muted, he's using command voice not the belligerent screaming and psychotic noise you hear modern drill instructors make, the green belt d.i.'s are the one who do most of the world smashing, the seniors(black belt) usually act more like a mentor, don't get me wrong they will fuck your life up too but they usually stop the green belts before shit gets too wild

His job was to break those who didn't meet his standards. If you can't handle handle boot camp, you won't handle war. This was how basic training was. It's not fake. They expect a few washouts in every platoon. We had a couple of AWOLs and a guy who tried to kill himself. Boot camp is a reality check like no other.
