Yep. Good idea with the wild game camera. Maybe you should put up a sign. 1. It's a round house 2. Please don't urinate in our shed. 3. Please do not disturb our work, be thoughtful. And put your KZbin channel on the sign. Let them see what you are doing.

It's honestly quite soul destroying in England. The only public access forests left are few and far between and owned by the local council or forestry commission. No camping and certainly no fires. The national parks may as well be holy ground. I didn't know how bad it had got until I started hammock camping a few years back and got a trail and tracks ordnance survey map.
@cyqry4 жыл бұрын
@@synchc There's no camping or fires allowed, for sure, but that doesn't stop folk. Most wild-campers/bushcrafters I watch actually do it on private property, with TA Outdoors suggesting you ask local farmers as they *usually* will say yes, or another bloke (forgot his name) who said you generally won't get noticed anyways so long as you follow the general rules most folk do of not leaving anything behind or taking anything that wasn't yours Obviously it IS illegal, but its a civil matter not a criminal one, the worst you're going to get if you're caught is a slap on the wrist and told to bugger off. Or if its private land, you can feign ignorance and ask the owner if you can stay there so long as you leave early morning. The rules really aren't *that* massively enforced, I find.

Your recent work in the construction of the Celtic Roundhouse and using basic and traditional tools and methods has been also very interesting and with your characters as company in presence,a positive and joyous experience for myself, I'm sure many would agree. Sure would like to know how things are going, there has been mention of completion of the roof? But haven't had the pleasure of seeing your methods and progress. Looking forward to seeing your next edition. Hope all is well, all the best from here in West Australia.

@@caslinden1373 In the UK, most of the land is either privately owned or public access (meaning you can walk there). Aside from Scotland, there's actually very few places you can *legally* camp at, but you still get a lot of folk doing that anyways. Generally you won't get chased up for it, at worst you'll be told to toss off by the property owner, unless you've actually damaged something. I'm kind of curious though if you're able to get someone charged for damages if you have *permission* but don't own the actual land you've built on. Or would you need to get the land-owner to charge for you?
@Micro-Worlds-Extraordinaire4 жыл бұрын
@@cyqry Either way if they did bring anything the guys did on that land to the police the land owner would become involved, if the land owner doesn't want to press charges nothing will come of it, it would only go ahead if the man or men themselves had person or property damaged by the guys or the land owner. Basically they're just moody and nosy without a leg to stand on.

@@aroniariz2708 I think the kids will probably stop since they seem familiar with the fact these guys are KZbinrs, or at least assume they are. Probably won't be back. The poacher probably knows they do KZbin but doesn't watch, so he won't realise unless he's actively told he's been caught on camera. That one guy with the full moon, proooobably a one time occurrence since he showed his face on the cam. I second the moat idea, but you'll probably end up with folks pissing in that instead of the shed.

"They come to watch us make child humor in the woods, that must be it..." I mean... yeah, partly XD Part of it is that I love bushcraft, and experimental archeology, but have health problems that prevent me from going outside most days; I'm allergic to almost all the plants and sunshine-- no really, sunshine makes an allergic rash on my skin-- and have chronic pain, so I can't exactly go hiking anymore. But a big part is definitely your senses of humor. Side note: I've never seen moss on trees where I live (Utah, one of the big square-shaped states of the west half of the USA, in the Mojave Desert, a.k.a. the middle of nowhere). You guys probably see more humidity in Ireland than I see all year, hahaha. It's so GREEN there...
@ballisticbee60014 жыл бұрын
I understand you on the Utah part!! I lived around Orem for my childhood, and while going camping by a river or fishing in man-made lakes it was as dry as can be! Now I live near the Puget Sound in Washington, and oh boy how much of a difference that made!!! Not mentioning the culture change I noticed moving up here (all I can say is mormons) but living near sea level and seeing moss grow in every crevice it can, it really made me realize how much of a desert Utah is!
@edwardwonghaupepelutivrusk51894 жыл бұрын
I said it before and I'll say it again; y'all need a sign. Those people coming around are curious and confused and mischievous. Your sign should say something like, "Ancient European Cultural Heritage and Research Center. Please be respectfull. Disturbing this sight will result in loss of invaluable data collection and historical preservation. Thank You for you assistance. If you would like to contribute to this important project and community monument please leave a donation in the provided receptacle" And then, like, a little coffee can where people can put money. (I know it's a lot to write) Make it a big sign... out of wood... with maybe a picture drawing of the intented outcome. Draw a little round house so people know what it will look like when it's done. Get the community involved and good things will happen. #carrots4thomas

Might shame them into behaving properly. At least no real issues have been caused, well that we've seen anyways. But not sure why they'd cut away a foot of wood other than to mess with you guys.
