I actually use this technique all the time. I can get all the 10 C's inside my water bottle except a compass - which won't fit through the mouth. Then I put it in my suitcase every time I fly anywhere. Because you never know.

Nice video, good challenge. Try a small moist balls of compressed dirt instead of sticks or pebbles to tie the corners of your cover. Hook loss sucks, but you could make a gorge hook from a thorn or whittled stick. Good choice on the lighter over the ferro rod.
