I am Brazilian, I live in a small town in the interior of one of the states that our country is constituted. Here we have little visibility about famous from other continents. As we have worldwide technology that allows us to surf the waves of the internet, we can receive and know everything we can. I've always loved Queen, since I was a teenager and now 59, I still have the same opinion, but for me, since I met Adam through American Idol, I fell in love with his voice, his fantastic talent. He is the right choice to be part of Queen. I'm a Classical Ballet teacher and I love dance and music, this is obvious. Adam really has all the sensitivity that a real artist's soul must have. He is wonderful. I don't know him personally, I haven't even watched any live shows, but I can feel in his voice and in his eyes the person he is. The soul of those who live in art, whether music, dance or whatever, conveys in their performance the whole truth of their life. If we could all respect, tolerate, accept each being as each of us is, everything would be different. It's so simple to live, because life just happens. Love is love. Adam is a sweet person. I always want him to shine, be happy and his life a performance and life success only. Adam is intelligent and human, talented. This is enough. Adam is handsome and an amazing person. I love Adam.

I've been a fan of Queen since I was about 9 years old... pretty much same time in which Freddie died. I must say that for these past 30 years I've been listening to their music, loving it. I must say also that it is thanks to Adam Lambert that the new generations now are starting to become passionate to Queen's music. Because yes, they had quit doing tours, and I myself was so upset that I did not have the chance to see them performing live (I was too young clearly... like 3 or 4... didn't even know them yet). But Adam put a new strength and a new life to Queen... a new youth!! I am so excited and thrilled about this. I will finally have my chance to see them performing live. So the only thing I can really say is a very heartfelt thank you to Adam who does incredible justice to Freddie. I've watched every concert avaiable and of course I'd be a liar if I said that Queen now is the same of Queen with Freddie. But this is not what I am looking forward to. Adam is absolutely incredible on stage, and I think that Freddie would simply be happy to see his music having a second life thanks to the amazing performance of Adam. I am so incredibly in love with him for this amazing chance he is giving to all Queen's fans all over the world!

Adam is also leaving out an important step. He wasn't discovered because of singing "Bohemian Rhapsody." Adam performed "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin a few weeks into the competition. The wife of Queen's keyboard player saw him on TV. She told her husband, the keyboard player, to watch. He was impressed with what he heard and e-mailed Roger Taylor about Adam. It was only at that point, I suppose, that Roger and Brian began watching his performances...including the "Bohemian Rhapsody" clip. So Adam owes a little more credit to Led Zeppelin, actually. :)
@janetmiller1755 жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree. I wonder if the producers had an idea about bringing Queen on the show as Adam progressed based on the audition. It seems like it would take time to set up. I have heard Roger in interviews say the first time he heard Adam was a Whole lot of Love.

@@janetmiller175 I think about it from the other side, too. If Brian, Roger, and Spike hadn't been interested in meeting Adam after seeing his performances, would they have accepted the invitation to perform on the finale? Why would they have had all their gear loaded up and set up on the show to sing a 2-minute song? I think they agreed to do it because it was a chance to meet Adam and perform with him and see how it would go. It was such serendipity.
@janetmiller1755 жыл бұрын
@@breathefree. I agree. They liked him enough to wait for him to be free from his idol contract to have him join them. Brian said they knew he was booked for at least the year following AI. They knew they were interested in him. I don't think he realized it was an audition.

I find it amazing that you think you know more about Adam and how he got to front Queen - it is so idiotic - Brian May said he received thousands of comments when Adam auditioned with Bohemian Rhapsody, saying "this is your guy, he's the guy to front Queen" - maybe you didn't see that part of Brian's interview

The dress-ups used to freak me out when I studied Freddie's life, lol! But I got it later on. The question *"Do you think that's sad?"* was freakishly in sync, as upon it hinges so much. Gospel of Bartholomew, "Tell me, who was that man so tall? And why did he sigh so sore?" "Because I told him I had done it for his people. And when he heard it, he groaned and said: SO WAS THY GOOD PLEASURE, O LORD" (Then what happens after - with the veil and the angel who would not ascend no matter the praises sung around the world - I put into my artwork of Bohemian Rhapsody in 2003, but without ever having read that text. "What holy text, I don't know what you're talking about!" hahahahaha... Re: in WWRY the Rebels "Test him" - the singer - with a partial lyric from Bohemian Rhapsody, and when he simply knows the continuation, they ask him to go with them.)

Look up "Black squirrel, light skin, dark clothes" and see what comes up. :))) This interviewer is not as tuned in to Adam as others are, they're talking in parallel a little bit, but the mood is like "yay, yay, exactly" lol. No, I don't think it should be about manners, manners are the very conservative things that brought us to this situation (meaning it's the social mask which eventually breaks down). I get it that some people find it works to first imitate the outer behaviour, then the essence will come... but it's not a guarantee if we are neurally wired differently. For example when I smile waiting for happiness to arrive, it doesn't happen. Then all the smiling makes me break down and feel like a fraud. But if I do KNOW of things that are worthy of my smiles, even little things, then I celebrate them. When someone has been disrespecting you for centuries and wishes to hang on to their "traditional belief" because it is convenient to disenfranchise others, the answer is not for YOU to "respect their point of view"... but to respect the fact that they might make things VERY difficult for you (ie. not to live in a bubble and pretend they're on board with you). That, yes. But respecting someone who abuses others means you will cause more pain and heartache, to your friends and other people. So it's not as ethically clear as it would seem. There is that Christian undertone to this conversation, which is actually based in the Golden Rule "treat others as you would wish to be treated" - the PROBLEM with that is that you already have a warped sense of how you should be treated, due to how you view yourself. So the Golden Rule is currently off-center in society. Adam's idealism sees it as being that true Golden Rule, the idea that everyone wants the same things... but unless the inner conflict is dealt with, we really don't want the same things, we want to validate and sustain this inner conflict. So my point is that unless you have NOT been empathetic, and unless you have been a total douche, the suggestion "be more empathetic" can cause problems for those people who are used to always giving way too much (and who are more likely to listen to Adam's words and wish to do good in the world). They keep on giving, and others keep on taking. This is not balance, it is imbalance. Empathy must be applied where it is needed, but in some cases the person needs to shield themselves off, to even things out. (Which is, coincidentally, what Adam is also doing on his new album in his power songs.)

From Dr Bri's IG, with a photo of Adam during a show: "And here is the Modern Marvel without whom, for sure, Queen would not be out here delivering at the top level. ADAM LAMBERT is only now beginning to be recognised by the greater public as the true phenomenon that he is. Gifted with a voice in a billion, for himself he is a passionate and unyielding perfectionist. Gifted to us, he is the reason that we are still alive as a functioning rock band. And still able to take on new challenges. Plus ... he’s nice. That’s a big deal when you’re a touring family. Freddie would approve, big time. TONITE !!! For One Night Only ! San Jose !!! Are ya ready ?!!! 💥💥💥💥 THANKS @ALAlwayz on Twitter for this photo. 💥💥💥💥💥 *****Also, and I will say this only once, for the benefit of just a few people who haven’t stopped to think clearly. Just imagine how awful it would have been for Roger and myself to tour with a Freddie impersonator. Anyone who suggests such a thing doesn’t belong here. To the vast majority of you lovely people out there - BIG THANKS for being respectful to Adam. In supporting him, you are supporting the life blood of the live Queen legacy. Nothing is forever. This is a precious moment. We never pass this way again." Bri

Of course May and Taylor will give fake praise to Adam Lambert, it is all part of the hype and marketing to get to his fans. They know he will bring droves of tone-deaf zombies to the concerts who will lap everything up and post it all over social media accounts. After all, quality doesn’t sell anymore. Better then to present a loud and glitzy tribute that covers up some of their geriatric skillsets, than a voice reminding people of the Queen of yesteryear that could possibly shame them on stage. It is really quite the brilliant idea, the fusion of two fanbases to get crossover profits. So what if the result sucks, it brings in tons of cash.
