as someone who is as deep down the fnaf rabbithole as courtney (and probably moreso when it comes to actual gameplay knowledge via osmosis), it’s really funny to me because she’s right though. a significant portion of the “mechanics” in sister location (and games going forward from there) that are given to you aren’t actually accurate and don’t guarantee survival. speedrunners will fully ignore them because they know the exact timing of things like when to stop crawling to avoid ballora and other stuff like that so you just go as fast as you can and then pause and it works the same if not better than going slowly. my favorite examples are from the streamer AstralSpiff in fnaf 3 and in fnaf pizza simulator. in fnaf 3 you can pretty much guarantee a win by luring springtrap to the same 2 rooms repeatedly, and in pizza sim he refuses to ever do the questionnaire for the scrapping. to quote, “3 evenly spaced shocks chat” and it works every time to avoid getting attacked. tldr: amanda should be a speedrunner cause she works smarter not harder 😂 EDIT: since baby is the one to tell you to go slow through ballora’s gallery, i could also understand that maybe amanda doesnt trust her since baby literally just told you to hide under a desk right before that and then rats you out immediately LMAO she probably thinks baby is lying. and then you get conflicting information immediately after from the guy who has always been your guide to success in these games, so it’s entirely fair

Y’all are being mean for no reason and it kind of shows how little people understand other people I guess. You know she’s new to gaming. She has to pay attention to keyboard controls and where to point the mouse, she’s not used to the type of images taking over her screen and doesn’t know when a key information might pop up.. there’s a bajillion more variables she needs to simultaneously keep track of that people watching and/or people used to playing games are already familiar with. And she has to be entertaining herself the entire time. Plenty of seasoned gamers who do regular game plays make the stupidest mistakes when they take the role of entertaining an audience while playing. On top of that there were plenty of occasions when Shayne, despite his experience as a gamer and watching plenty of people play these types of games.. was still lost. You all (people commenting this sentiment and those liking it) really need to think a little bit more deeply about other people’s experiences before you go around passing judgement.
