Well, *_technically_* Time Lords change their DNA from regular Gallifreyans when they become Time Lords (probably by forcing a small but important mutation when young recruits look into the Untempered Schism, and then their training at the Time Lord Acadamy forces the full change; but that's just my pet fan theory though), so *_technically_* Time Lords are a different species from the (regular) Gallifreyans. Also, of course, the whole Timeless Child revealed that the Doctor isn't originally from Gallifrey after all. Although I guess they are still a Time Lord, even if not actually Gallifreyan.
