I agree with this, lol. They pretty much didn't even try at the beginning and were giving totally random answers just for sake of answering with little thought. I understand what she meant by wishing they had pulled from past knowledge about her. You don't need to know someone super well to make good assumptions. Just take what you already know and use as a relating factor when coming up with answers. It won't be right, but you'd have a higher chance, and it shows thought and effort to get to know her rather than just admitting you don't know her at all. Two years with her should yield at least a better ability to guess. But I get that they prefer to take a comedic approach and chose to joke around. Still would be a nice way to show that you're willing to learn about the person by putting effort.

Ok LOVE that we got to know Arasha so much in this episode. Not just superficially with her answers, but the way she reacts to THEIR answers. I probably empathize with Arasha the most out of the whole cast, so seeing people struggle to show they know her in this episode made me feel really sad. I so admire her though for taking it in stride and instead framing it as bonding time with her friends and an opportunity for them to get to know her more. Well, she did point out that she agreed with Trevor's answer about how good of a listener she is, and she even stated that she loves to be welcoming to others when they meet her the first time. I have had friends who like to listen more to others than actually share a lot of things about themselves, and I feel like Arasha would be that kind of person as well. That's probably why they don't have that much info about her, but then she probably knows a lot more about them, at least that's what I think.

Like, if she really does only have deep conversations with Trevor then I wouldn't expect him to know something like what her favorite celebrity or tv show is. I usually only talk to my friends about what I know our common interests are, so if I were to play this with my friends I wouldn't expect them to know most of these answers. Your friends can't know if you don't tell them. I'm pretty confident that's what happened here.

I think that makes a lot of sense. I wouldn't expect my friends to have specific answers to kinda random questions like these, but the thing that still made me feel down was how it seemed like a lot of the answers didn't even resonate with Arasha. Part way through the video, she kinda nudged them to take into account what they know about her and let that inform their answers, and they still seemed to struggle a bit with that. In the other iterations of this series, it's not common for people to hit the nail right on the head with their answers, but their answers usually still resonate with the person they're talking about. At the end of the day though, everyone in this video is human and could have been having an off day or any of a million things we don't know about. I fear I've already read into the situation too much, but I'm happy to leave it at they all probably have love and respect for each other that can't be quantified through a video like this.

I think this is a testament that Arasha may prefer to talk about more meaningful things rather than casual small talk. We know that her and Trevor are close, Tommy is her neighbor, and Amanda is friendly with everyone so it’s not like she’s a stranger to them. As a fellow hater of small talk, I’m thinking about some of these questions like “what celebrity would you want to have dinner with” etc and I genuinely don’t think even my fiancé could answer that because I don’t give af about celebrities. This video served to educate/introduce not only the cast but the viewers to who Arasha is since she has been one of the cast members that is more enigmatic. It was awkward/funny sure, but she genuinely seemed like she achieved her goal- educating, not getting upset at everyone’s lack of knowledge about her (people think she’s mean because she’s great at those characters but we always hear that she’s just the sweetest off-camera & she showed it here), & finding the best in everyone’s while also being truthful and trying not to hurt anyone’s feelings.

Tommy was absolutely brought in for this episode to squash the idea that they have beef, and it shows in this video that they are close, just maybe need to take the opportunity to learn more about each other. (People thought they were beefing because to others, it seemed he wasn't grading Arasha's answers fairly during his video of this series. The thing is- Amanda and Courtney were also on that episode, two people who've had way more time to get to know Tommy and probably know him a little better than he knows himself, which is why he gave them better scores even when Arasha was spot on. But people REALLY want drama here on Smosh, and they aren't getting it [because everyone gets along and are genuinely friends/friendly coworkers])
