And Paul Morphy finishes the game by delivering checkmate with a single minor piece. Absolutely amazing. All of his games were pure art. He was completely ahead of his time. Thanks for your commentary.

My sincere request to you would be to just go thru three of his games (of course my opinion alone) one against baucher where he lost/or allowed it to be taken (take your pick) one blindfold simul against Freeman and one against Anderssen (reverse baucher game) where he took his queen. If you do watch them please do tell me what you think about these three games.thks

If you like Morphy (and who doesn't), you should check out gems by Zukertort. Zukertort was brilliant. If you get (or already have) " The 1000 Best Short Games of Chess," by Irving Chernev, you'll get 6 games by Zukertort, 23 by Morphy, etc. and all games under 20 moves. A must have book for people who enjoy the poetry of chess. It is sheer brilliance!

My oppinion, Morphy didn´t reveal all his possibilities, because his opponents was not strong enough. Morphy was in different level. It ich very bad for Chess history, Morphy didn´t born 100 years later and can´t play with players in top level.

Mato... You know I love you, and watch your "online chess lectures" faithfully, and obsessively even. So please take this comment like it's from an adoring fan.. which it is:) You are miking way too close to your mouth and the attenuation is off, pretty drastically. All the lip smacking, saliva sucking, breathing, mouth noises are severely loud and distracting. Drives me Fooking nutso haha. I have to turn it down super low so I get your words without the associated dribble clappers. No offense... Otherwise, I'm happy imagining little Matos running around gaily while we study chest... Er chess. Sorry. Love ya! 😉🤣😉
