SMRT Buses Cross-border Service 950 Hyperlapse

Yes, it's finally that time of the year again! Time for the yearly tradition of me generously providing cross border services to my viewers, because I know you have been good. This time, it's 950 from Woodlands Temporary Interchange, looping at JB Sentral Terminal passing through Woodlands Ave 3, Woodlands Ctr Rd, Jln Lingkaran Dalam and Jln Tg Puteri, but not passing through Jln Lingakran Dalam in the return routing.
Instead, we go along the route of Jln Stulang Laut and Lebuhraya EDL, which is in fact shorter than the original routing as seen in my 170x D2 video. Again, I still don't know why SBST/SMRT won't use the shortest possible routing from JB Sentral to JB Checkpoint, but at least it's an improvement.
So, in the video, the bus did not follow the routing as stated on the 950 Transitlink data by going straight instead of turn left at Jln Lingkaran Dalam. It's not just 170x that took the alternate routing. 950 also does that too, if you look at this IG post by @trustylion_smb3587p_2019: pB57-7QzH2...

So there’s been a significant number of people wondering what the agenda for cross-border services is next year A: the plan for next year is to do 950 after the Woodlands regional interchange amendment, unless 160 gets a fleet change to E5 scania or citaro or A22 then I’ll do 160. CWL services will not be done anytime soon EDIT: MCO kena extended to year end so no cross border videos in 2020, sorry

@@adksyafiq33cannot because: 1) there is no b9tl in Singapore that has SMRT livery; a requirement of Malaysia Cross border buses is that they must represent the company with its company livery. 2) There is a fleet restriction for Johore Buses, so no double deckers allowed

Next Year: Service 160 Hyperlapse But I understand that there are no other services running alongside 160 between Jurong East Int & Junction 10 As 180 full DD fleet & 160A too short

It sounds a bit stupid for passenger to take one 6km big round around JB just to get to the ground floor of Checkpoint (JB sentral ter) from the top floor bus stop

That’s why people walk and not take the bus. Even if the bus took the shortest route, it would still take 5 mins + waiting, which is a waste of time

Based on my few times going there, no. Sometimes they don’t even enter the terminal, just pick up/drop off at the nearby roadside (can see the 170x videos for proof)
