I skipped out on SM:TV Gold thinking it was just the clips. But this is slightly more depressing than what I assumed it was. I mean you have 3 live presenters, a live audience - but they all have to sit around watching clips of the show's hey-day *and* constant snippets of the "dream team" playing in various background tv's

There’s a CITV trail for SM:TV Gold elsewhere on KZbin (Adam’s Archive, CITV continuity 23rd September 2003) and it really is striking how all the clips they use are of Ant Dec and Cat, and the voiceover says ‘the best bits of Ant and Dec and Cat’. At the time it was really exciting, now it just seems like a staggering admission of failure! Though I think they did include clips from later on in the show’s history as part of the voting selection, at least some weeks.

Now i know that GMTV Kids had occasionally aired after 9:25am on Sundays due to sports and whatnot but what was so important for them to go right through until noon to air episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh...

Didn't SMTV move to Riverside Studios at one point? or were they always at South Bank? CD:UK did If i'm not mistaken?

May have been on Tess’s final show. CD:uk stayed there until late March ‘06, nicely timed for CBBC’s Mighty Truck Of Stuff to use the same studios from April...

Nah, it was the original series. They wanted nostalgia for full effect. Though after a few weeks they were ditched for the Rugrats spin off "All Grown Up"
