Those were the days! I'd never heard of Ant and Dec before SM:tv live because I never watched Byker Grove. I remember thinking of them as the new Vic and Bob at the time!

Love this show but watching this now, from 1998 when it was still brand new, it’s lacking excitement and fun. By the time it got to 2000/1 it had lots of great skits, better segments and it was a lot more better! Does anyone else get this dull feeling watching this? I know Ant and Dec felt it lacked something back in ‘98 and I can feel it myself. So glad it got better!

Very very real. Took a lot of time to reach it's height though sketches such as the Watchdog pisstake give a hint of promise.

4:04-4:10 notice how they cut to and from the studio during the Cow and Chicken intro, If I'm not mistaken they did something similar with Spongebob years later can't remmeber if it was SMTV or Ministry of Mayhem.

May have been the Ministry. They definitely got the audience to join in with the last part of the Spongebob theme.

@@RobinBlamires Found some episodes/excerpts of SMTV from 2003 and as it turns out they did indeed get the audience to join in with Spongebob theme the same way they did Cow and Chicken. I suspected they did for the longest time

Duno bout cat. Ant n dec were natural on screen. She maybe hot to some but she was terribly annoying an still to this day while ant n dec are a national treasure probably why cats out an Hollys in for 2020 reunion! I could be wrong! 😊👈😷
